The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in one of our iconic red leather booths, take in a beautiful evening on our terrace, or watch a sporting event in our bar and lounge.     The Derby never disappoints! Bailey gave our table of four outstanding service. The food was delicious, especially the calamari. The fireplaces were roaring and the entire place decorated beautifully. We were enjoying it all so much, we stayed well into mid-afternoon.

    I am a regular customer to the Derby  and I made a reservation for six to celebrate one of our friends birthdays. Everything was fantastic, from the food service, to the ambience in the room.     We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant. The table was not ready so we decided to go into the bar for a beverage. The Old Fashion was delicious. When we were seated we were greeted by our service team Barbara and Jameson! We brought bottles of wine and the corkage fee was very reasonable at $25 a bottle . We started with appetizers - Shrimp Cocktail (the shrimp were collossal) and the Crab Cakes - both were great! We ordered our entree - 1 guest had the prime rib , another guest tried the 3 Course Dinner Selection - great choices and my husband and I ordered the Chateaubriand for Two which was flambeed tableside and tasted delicious. I took most of mine home - so that we would have room for dessert - which was Bread Pudding! The sauce was perfect and no raisins! We had a great evening and will definitely be back!

    Perfection in this old-school steak house! Our waiter, Bobby, was fun and attentive. The food was exceptional. We split a wedge salad, and they halved it in the kitchen before bringing it our which was great!
