The concept of The Desi Accent reflects the sentiments of Desi (people of Indian subcontinent) and their diaspora derived from the Ancient Sanskrit (deśá) meaning Land or Country. Our team aims to share the 4,500 years old culture through a culinary experience deeply rooted in India’s heritage.

With a rich heritage, the history of Indian cuisine is as old as our civilization. The Indian dining etiquette is built on traditions. Behind almost every tradition are centuries of invasions, conquests, religious beliefs, political changes and social customs.

Our culinary team’s goal is to transform Indian spices and ingredients to memorable meals and authentic experiences. Indian cuisine is reflective of the historic eras. The worst service I have ever had in my life. It took over a half hour for anyone to even approach our table and ask us if we wanted a drink. When they finally did take her drink order and our appetizer order. He refused to take our meal order and said he would come back. Another half hour later our drinks finally showed up. He immediately left the table without taking her food order. One of the appetizers showed up 15 minutes after that so 45 minutes to get just appetizers and drinks. Then we place their food order. An hour later my dish shows up but without the rice or any of the other things. My girlfriend's meal didn't show up until a half hour after that. I had to constantly flag down the bartender just to get another drink. The whole dinner experience took us 3 hours just to get our food. The place was not busy but it seemed like that they were very unorganized servers. We had a total of all three servers that came to our table. After receiving the check it's a 20 minutes just to get my change.

Dined at Desi Accent on Sunday afternoon. Very pleased that there was a buffet available so that so many different dishes could be tasted and enjoyed. Everything was beyond delicious! Starting with the chicken soup- spiced and delicious. warm Naan brought to the table. The veggie samosa and vegetable pakora were a great start to our meal. The Butter Chicken , Tandoori Chicken and Aloo Gobhi were very flavorful. We went back for more! So many dishes to sample! Ending with pistachio kulfa and also a mango kulfi- fabulous. Cocktails were different and delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. The owner walked throughout the restaurant checking in with guests- nice touch. Prices are fair and reasonable. Definitely will be back!!!

Cranky waitress, but food was great. Interesting menu - some unique dishes too. I wish the tandoori items (kebab, chicken) could be obtained in smaller appetizer portions or a combo platter. s

The food and service was very good. We just wished that they served the buffet for dinner, as it was my wife's first time trying Indian food and would have liked to sample several things.

We ordered: curry chicken, chicken 65, dal makhani, butter naan, lemon rice. All were delicious! Service was very attentive. Plenty of staff watching for opportunities to serve guests. When we arrived around 6 on a Saturday night is was very quiet, by 7 the place was really filling up with lots of happy families and couples. Not too noisy though, but a pleasant atmosphere. Classy setting, with cloth tablecloth and napkins. Felt special to be there. Highly recommend!
