Sunday surcharge!!!! Pretty annoying - the place was packed with time allocation given upon arrival. My spanner crab salad was visually appealing but not particularly filling - expensive with the Sunday surcharge. Good for families with lots of children. Not a romantic lunch spot. Just wondering why had to receive verify codes on both my mobile and email to complete this form? Overkill surely - when I clicked on the link provided by Open Table?

The Doonan was very nice however there were a couple of things that tainted our experience. The chef was yelling at his fellow staff members and we felt this was completely inappropriate when the establishment is trying to portray an image of a chilled environment. The prices are unnecessarily exorbitant. This pub was not established in 1990 as advertised it was only refurbished two years ago. That said the food was exceptional. Hopefully they will iron out these glitches and it will be good experience for everyone.

Great pizza had by most of us but my daughter and her husband had the lamb and we all tasted it and it was delicious..Burgers also looked delicious !

We booked lunch for a group of ten friends. The food was amazing as was the staff, very friendly and helpful. We drank and had lots of fun for most of the afternoon. My thanks to the Doonan for such a wonderful experience.

Beautiful spot, dog friendly great food and big play area for kids but just off to the side area so not to disturb all the dinners but still visible to parents.
