For over three decades, The Drover has been the place to go in Omaha, Nebraska for a good steak. The rustic, vintage decor and dim lighting adds to the traditional steakhouse ambiance. Reservations are encouraged at The Drover due to its popularity. The signature whiskey marinade, available on cuts, such as the filet and the ribeye, is what sets The Drover apart from other steakhouses in the area. Shrimp, chicken and seafood entrees are all also available should a guest prefer an alternative to red meat. Burgers, appetizers and soups are options for those looking for lighter fare. No visit is complete without a trip to the salad bar. Not only is it a healthy choice, it is also known as one of the first salad bars in Omaha.

New Years Eve dinner. Great prime rib & filet. I love the mushrooms & bacon wrapped shrimp.

The Drover is my go to for special occasions and out of town visitors looking to enjoy a Nebraska steak in a traditional steakhouse and they never disappoint. My medium rare whiskey filet was perfection.

Good food, good atmosphere, a little dark inside but not bad. It’s kind of a hidden gem in Omaha!

The food - especially the steak - was outstanding. The service was attentive without feeling intrusive or rushed. The ambience wasn’t fancy, but appropriate to a rustic-themed steakhouse. Not cheap, but that seems standard for restaurants everywhere in this economy, especially for high-quality beef items. Our guest, who was celebrating his birthday, got the bone-in whiskey-marinated ribeye. He commented, “If Heaven includes a banquet, I can’t imagine how it could surpass this!”

Food was great, but the service to start was very slow. Was seated and asked immediately what to eat, wanted a second to look over the menu so asked for a minute. Did not get looked at while other tables were being served and orders taken next to us for 20 minutes. Eventually someone did come over and we ordered. Very understandable the restaurant was busy, but those 20 minutes felt like forever while hungry! Note to those visiting, pick out what you want to eat beforehand and be ready to order immediately, otherwise you will wait.

The Drover is always a special experience. Their whiskey marinaded steaks are delicious. We enjoy their salad bar and the service is always great.

Ambience and service is great, lunch menu is limited. Food was average with so many great steak house options in Omaha. Much competition out there!
