    Great location for a Sunday lunch with friends - even in winter. We had a table for 6 late on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my birthday with friends. There is adequate car parking available behind the pub across a narrow bridge . Lighting could be better at night but otherwise fine. Staff were welcoming and friendly . Dining areas were warm and background noise was negligible allowing easy relaxed conversation in a cosy atmosphere. Sunday menu was extensive although one or two items had run out. Small gripes include the lack of gluten free Yorkshire Puds ( easy to store in a freezer) , the absence of crackling with roast pork and lack of Rioja by the glass . Desserts however were delicious and the roast main courses were good as expected. £36 per head average incl drinks was decent but not exceptional value. Overall however very good , will certainly return.

    Sunday evening meal with the family at The Drummond. As always a great roast and giant yorkies. Always great to visit and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

    Both main meals very bland, and almost cold. Staff didn’t ask if any condiments and or additional drinks required. No one checked If meal ok either. Totally understand Sunday is a busy one, but certainly not what was expected after having high expectations from seeing all the good reviews.

    Absolutely loved my time here for lunch with family and my 2 furbabies also made to feel welcome. Thank u all so much for making our lunch so perfect in every way possible. Pauline

    Lovely gastro pub with excellent staff - friendly, helpful and chilled. Food menu is extensive and tasty. Will definitely revisit soon.

    A bit disappointed with this visit. They had closed a part of the restaurant and we were put into the conservatory which had no atmosphere . We were sat next to a rally loud group who were swearing an awful lot. I asked if we could be moved because we couldn’t have a decent conversation because the group were so loud and being a conservatory the acoustics were really bad. We were told there were no other tables so we ended up shouting at each other to be heard. Another couple who also sat in the conservatory moved and luckily found a table for two. It’s a shame because I’ve always rated The Drummond and have eaten there quite a few times, it was meant to be a nice meal out for our son’s 18th birthday but it wasn’t. I don’t think we’ll go back.
