We start with cage free, free roaming, all natural chicken. It’s brined, dredged, then dropped into custom-built fryers. It's got a little kick and is served with our house made hot honey. To accompany our award-winning chicken we have a variety of Southern style snacks and sides including mashed potatoes, grits, collard greens, spoon bread, Mac & Cheese and many more!

Worst place I have ever eaten greasy saggy chicken and fries the server didn’t even check on us after the food arrived they would not adjust my bill for the nasty food I would not recommend this place to a dog

Great food and service, especially considering the value. Our server Will was very engaging and knew what recommendations to make. We’ll be back!

Made a reservation for 6 people at 6pm. My good friend and his sister were visiting from Texas and asked me to pick a place to eat for our group. I thought about a number of options but wanted something my friends could not get in Texas. I I have been to the Eagle many times and love the food so I thought this was a great choice. Drinks came about 6:15-6:20. Food delivered about 6:50. Entire party was done eating about 7:20 and at 7:40, the manager asked us to leave because we were taking up a table they needed. That was a first in my life! We had only been finished eating for maybe 20 minutes and he is asking us to get out?! I have never been so offended and embarrassed. So sorry I picked this place to show my friends from Texas how Louisville treats our guests.

In spite of some of the past reviews, we were in Louisville today and decided to give this location a try as it is right across from our son’s apartment. Normally we go to the Bardstown Road location. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The food was served hot and fresh and the food and mixed drinks were all delicious! I highly recommend their hush puppies for appetizer and their Mac and cheese. My salad and chicken were also perfect. We were glad we gave this location a try and will definitely be back!!

Glad we had a reserved table. The crowd was full and constant. Food and drinks were fantastic, but service was extremely slow. My table mates became frustrated and I felt bad since the Eagle was my suggestion. Salads, chicken and grilled cheese are phenomenal. Two people in our group got shrimp and grits and could barely finish it because of the heat.

We had a good meal tonight. We were fortunate to have a reservation as we were seated right away while others had to wait. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious. We will return.

The fried chicken was excellent! Was a little disappointed with some sides but will be back Toney other sides.

Had my birthday dinner here (Oxmoor) as I love the Bardstown road location, so figured we would give this location another shot since it’s closer. The couple of times I went before were pretty much a mehhh experience at the oxmoor store, so I was hoping for a different experience since it had been a few months since I had been to the newer location. Definitely take the extra 10 minutes and go to the Bardstown road location. Every time I’ve ever been to the Bardstown road location, (10+ times at least) food has been HOT, service is great and there’s always smiling faces, and the chicken tastes COMPLETELY different than the Oxmoor mall location. All 3 times I’ve dined at the Oxmoor store, it has been rather dry, if not dry then on the soggy side more so than crunchy, and they seem to be smaller pieces of chicken. Bardstown road location has very very juicy chicken, well seasoned, and crunchy. What I will say, the district manager or regional manager that is working at the Oxmoor store, is a very very very nice person. He made sure to comp our meals off on my birthday dinner, as our table just kind of felt like the food and service was completely off that night… late refills, long food times, cold sides, barely seeing the server, no silverware, etc. Ya know, the usual stuff when it’s busy, It wasn’t a big deal. My brother mentioned to the manager it was my birthday and it was just unfortunate timing for a bad dinner, and we weren’t upset at all. The manager as I mentioned comped all the food off, explained this wasn’t a normal situation and he apologized profusely and asked us to come back on their dime next time, and then gave all 4 of us at my table $20 vouchers good for whatever menu item on our next visit. So overall $80 in free food/ drink coupons and comped food, we were more than happy with the hospitality and how it was handled. Big props to them and that specific manager.
