   I booked the 7 course tasting menu whilst on a short break in Bath. Although I was travelling alone I was made welcome on arrival and the serving staff were professional but also friendly. The menu choices were explained in detail and my welcome cocktail was delicious. Each course came at a leisurely pace and the portions were just right considering how many were to follow. For me the highlights were the "amuse bouche" of tempura battered hake and the venison main course. I had a wonderful evening, one to remember, and would consider it good value for a special occasion. Thank you, I will return if ever I visit Bath again.

   Not the greatest experience. I think they were understaffed for our visit, which led to being forgotten about. However the food too, wasn't amazing, essentially not for the price point.

   The food at The Elder was outstanding, though having to wait an hour for our bread was slightly frustrating. A small intimate dining experience booked for may husband's birthday, ruined however by the loud , maybe slightly inebriated lady on the other side of the small dining area who was involving everyone in her conversations and had no consideration for other guests' personal space. The choice of rather antiquated lounge music wasn't a great choice either. Overall a pleasant evening, but when you are spending a huge amount of money on a romantic dinner for two, there are definitely a few tweaks needed.

   The food was excellent and the service professional. The only thing which let them down was the food espresso coffee which was weak and cold. I would happily go again however I much preferred The Elder before they changed to a tasting menu.

   Even though we were a little late we were met with a warm welcome. This set the tone for friendly, impeccable service that was second to none and an exquisite afternoon tea that I consider to be the best I’ve had to date. The lemon and blueberry macarons were a delectable combination and the miniature Bath bun melted in the mouth. Highly recommended.

   An excellent restaurant for special occasions. Staff very helpful and polite. Food superb with a very nice gesture of a small birthday cake with candle.

    The evening flowed really nicely, was a great place to eat, drink and celebrate our Wedding Anniversary.
