   Food was pretty good with a good selection of appetizers, dinner salads, and entrees. Sides selection was really good too with the brussel sprouts being the hit at the table. We all had different entrees, but the pasta bolognese won for best dish. The NY strip steak came in a close second. It was cooked perfectly and was lean and tasty. Pretty limited dessert menu with only three options, but the two we had were phenomenal. Service was a bit on the slow side, but not terribly slow. Servers were great - polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The only reason I'm give it 4 stars is that the noise level was so loud, we couldn't actually have a convo at a 4-person table. I think the acoustics of the restaurant just cause the sounds to bounce off the walls. The prices are actually very good compared to similar restaurants in EDH. Came to about $80/person all in with wine, cocktails, appetizer, entrees, sides, and desert. We all left satiated, but with our ears ringing.

   Service good for a new operation and food was tasty. Wine by the glass reasonably priced, impressive cocktail, entrees are pricey but well-executed. The negatives: We were seated at the ltable in the very back of the dining room next to a drafty door. Not a great first impression, as there were several other tables open at our early reservation time, in the center and front of the room. The table on the other side of the back door was also all-female, which created an impression of disrespect. They may have packed the back of the dining room early because the bar was noisy and busy, and the overall acoustics are terrible. The dining room was so loud we kept having to repeat ourselves. The server apologized about the noise up front but didn’t say if the owners intend to address. We would have relaxed over dessert if we hadn’t been fatigued from shouting; instead we chose to return home for a nightcap. Not what one would expect from the most expensive dining experience in EDH.

   Great new restaurant for El Dorado County. Fun, energetic, great food, The wine list is carefully selected and value priced. Plenty of service staff, all helpful. Great new ambience. Not the same old boring EDH restaurant vibe with the same old menus. The bar is hopping -- and its loud.

   This was our first time dining at ElDo Chop House and won’t be our last! Our server, Erika, was great… friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu offerings and perfectly coursed our meal! We started with the Hamachi Crudo which was delicious and refreshing with the Cara Cara orange slices and pickled Fresno chilies! I opted for the Caesar Salad while my son and husband had the Beet Salad. Both were equally good… the Caesar was perfectly dressed and I especially liked the addition of shaved radish and Parmesan crisps! For a main course I had the Filet, which was cooked to the perfect medium rare temp and was so tender it melted in your mouth… although I opted for the Cowboy Butter topping, I don’t think any sauce is needed! Halibut was the choice for the others and they both agreed that it was quite good! Even though we were stuffed, we had to try the Butter Cake… glad we did, it was tasty! Overall dinner was great, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, staff were all attentive and on top of ensuring beverages were kept full and empty plates were cleared! If there was anything to complain about it would be the noise level… it can be a little loud, if the music was turned down a bit that would probably help a bunch. Happy to have good dining options close to home!

   The dishes we had were excellent, which is why we will be coming again. We had a wedge salad, the octopus appetizer, the filet with truffle butter sauce, mushroom risotto, and butter cake. They were uniformly well prepared and delicious. Standouts were the mole sauce for the octopus, the perfectly medium rare filet with tasty truffle butter, and the butter cake with crème anglais. Our waitress was friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. Only one small hiccup in service, which was quickly corrected. The reason why I deducted a star was the noise level, which I measured at 80 dB with my iPhone sound app. It’s hard to talk across the table. I think some sound deadening treatment would go a long way to make this a go to restaurant for us.

   Our first visit to Eldo was very enjoyable. Service was outstanding. We were greeted warmly by Karissa and Jennifer and quickly seated. Our server Jake was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu so helpful with recommendations. Appetizers and salads were excellent, steaks (filet and bone-in rib eye) were flavorful and well prepared, and dessert (butter cake with pistachio ice cream) very tasty. Based on reading previous reviews we were prepared for long wait times for food but our service was timely and efficient. Looking forward to returning to try other menus items, and trying out eating at the bar and/or in bar area.

   Our new favorite place! Visually so appealing, Richard, our server, was stellar. The crab cakes, wedge salad, filet and butter cake for dessert were just outstanding and cooked perfectly. Cocktails were delicious as well. Looking forward to returning!
