Excellent quality and taste of food. Great menu choices. Excellent service. Hostess kept us waiting at our assigned reservation time (party of 3), when there were open tables and seated others who walked in after us. Next time we will request not to be seated opposite the kitchen doors. Overall very good experience, definitely will return.

The Eldo might be in a random location, but the value is excellent! The atmosphere is lively, and it’s always crowded, so I recommend reservations. There are two outdoor patios as well. Our server was very friendly, and showed up just often enough to make sure we were doing OK.There is enough variety of cost points that you can get a good meal for under $20. highly recommend.

Mike Thomas, the manager of the place, sets the tone for the “absolutely” service everyone receives there. Never a no. It’s great.

Overall it was a surprisingly good experience. Last time we were there was in the late ‘90’s. The Eldo is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT establishment now! It was recommended on Nextdoor and we will definitely be returning. They do need more parking but they have limited available space so…. Now that we know what it is like and what to expect, we will eat and drink there again! In today’s world, prices are reasonable! Love seeing some quality restaurants again in Long Beach. For so long all the good ones left the city or closed down! Try it!
