Located proudly in the heart of Long Beach City, the Eldo - formerly known as the Eldorado - has been a staple in the LBC restaurant community since 1957.
Owned by South African native Trevor Nettmann since 2012 - the Eldo has been restored to its fullest potential & now boasts an eclectic menu of both American // South African fare.
With a sole focus on serving the highest quality food + craft cocktails & locally brewed craft beer - is passionate about cultivating both a local // international menu with an equally captivating atmosphere for each guest.

Shrimp lunguini,, pork chop and beef stroganoff are my favorite, delicious .cant go wrong with the chili or fish and chips .

We love the Eldo!!! The food is always great, the employees are always friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable. I has the lamb shank this time….OMG!!! So yummy! Will be back.

The restaurant has been remodeled over the years. It has become a hot spot in east Long Beach. It was very busy with happy staff and customers and employees. The menu is high end but the high quality of the food matches the prices. I had what they claim is the best ribeye in Long Beach and I must say I don’t disagree. We ate in the covered patio section which is very pleasant and quieter than the dining room. A++!

The Eldo never disappoints! Aaron, our server was top notch and the food, delicious… as always! We sit on the covered patio, so it wasn’t loud at all.

The food was good, they had some service issues though, when I got there for my reservation I was asked to wait until my reservation time and I will be called which is normal. A few minutes go by after my reservation time so I look at my app and it says we’ve been seated, so I go up and ask about it and they said there were some issues but they could seat me now. I took a friend for their birthday and even put it on the reservation notes and they didn’t mention it until I had to bring it up myself at the end, he said he could do a free scoop of ice cream but my friend wanted a root beer float ($7), the ice cream scoops normally cost $5, you would think they would take the $5 off the root beer float but nope… I ordered 2 and they charged me full price. Although he was friendly.. The waiter also took a very long time to bring me my to go box, check, and receipt back. Overall the service needs a lot of work, but the food was pretty good. I was hoping for a better experience.

Food was delicious and the service was perfect. We sat in the garden and it was very peaceful.

First time trying Eldo. We went on a dodgers World Series game night so the loudness was expected. The service is prompt and courteous. Bar cocktails are excellent. The ribeye and filet were very good and cooked perfectly. Overall the experience was positive. The only drawback is they don’t have menus. You must scan a QR code and my wife’s phone could not perform that function . Luckily my daughter had her phone. It’s dimly lit so reading a menu off the phone is difficult and takes time. Due to that I chose not to order dessert. Please have a few paper menus for the customers that are tech challenged Thank you

The Eldo has a very large selection of entrees with something that will please everyone. My family and I have been there several times and everything we have ordered was excellent1 The service has always been stellar and our food has always been served promptly. They also have a wide selection of beers and wine.

Great restaurant. Nice to have a restaurant that serves Stroganoff, which is fantastic. Service is great too.
