Thanksgiving, seated immediately, waited 30 min to see waitress . She informed us that a server had called out so they were very short staffed. Drinks took a long time to come out, soups came cold. 1 hour after we arrived salad was served. Main course tasty and warm. Wanted another drink but couldn't catch waitress. Desserts were great. Overall at table for 3+ hours!

First time at this historic restaurant, which I had never visited before for a very important occasion. The staff was impeccable in greeting and taking care of us throughout the evening. They went above and beyond to acknowledge the important occasion and provide an exceptional seating position right by the fireplace. The main courses were exceptional. My partner had the rabbit, which was absolutely scrumptous, albeit a little salty for her liking. Only if it had been served with a starch to cut that saltiness, then it would have been perfect. I had the rock fish special, which was hearty but also light. It was exactly what I was looking for after a Saturday of Friendsgìving. The creme brulee for dessert was really good, although the custard was slightly unset. Overall, it was a wonderful evening and meal. We will be back.

We were staying at an airport hotel overnight and needed a good dinner. What we found was this spectacular jewel of a restaurant! Our party of 4 tried the crab cakes (DELICIOUS) the mushroom soup (hearty and hit the spot on this chilly evening) the Rock Fish special (YUM) the demonico steak (tender and perfectly prepared) the Elk Osso Bucco with paparadelli (unusual and tasty!) and the lamb shank (fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned). The chef visited our table to check on us (smiles all around) the waitstaff was attentive without being annoying. The classical music in the background was quiet and soothing and set the atmosphere for a perfect dinner out. We felt as if we were dining in the home of an experienced host. Incredibly rare to find this kind of intimacy and hospitality these days!

We had a terrific evening - my mother is 84 years old and can't have gluten OR dairy. The restaurant asked whether we would prefer to avoid stairs when I made my reservation - I didn't have to put in a separate request or call... and the server staff was terrific about advising my mom on menu choices that she could tolerate. They offered sauce on the side, provided a second sauce, offered a gluten free option of one of the starters, etc. Chef showed up and commiserated on her usual dining options at the senior living complex where she lives. Really made her feel special, and a wonderful night out for her. Pretty sure she has a new favorite restaurant.

We were celebrating our anniversary. We sat upstairs in a room with no more than 3 or 4 other tables. Very cosy. The restaurant surprised us with a glass of bubbly before the meal. We both chose the filet mignon for our main course - a moist, tasty, butter-knife tender cut accompanied by a Bordelaise sauce that complemented perfectly. The steak was cooked to perfection (med rare). There were no leftovers for either of us, an unusual occurrence for me. Our waiter, Tony, was an absolute delight. We know we will return to the Furnace Inn, it's just a question of whether we will wait until our next anniversary.

Charmingly elegant restaurant with amazing owners and staff! The food was seasonally fresh, original, and delicious. And the desserts were absolutely delightful to the palate, without being overly rich. They never disappoint!

For the first time I was very disappointed mostly with the food. We all ordered Delmonico steaks and one came out over cooked, one was not a Delominco but the server said it was ?? It was more like a strip cooked well when we ordered a Delmonico med rare. Veggies were ordered for the table but placed on two plates. They brought out more after an apology but it was late in the meal. There were two events that night. Maybe this is why but first time I was not completely satisfied.

We stopped by because I was craving beets. The beet caprice I had was phenomenal. I also had the gluten-free version of the French onion soup. Delicious! My husband had the strip steak with local mushroom. Elkridge Furnance Inn never disappoints! Also, the service is wonderful. A special shout out to Torre!
