Voted "The Best Newcomer" restaurant at the recent May 2023 Food Reader Awards, The Farm Table is all about taking food off the farm & into the fire, celebrating the simplicity of beautiful ingredients grown, reared, caught & crafted on our doorstep.

We aim to get as much from our farm onto your table as possible and if it’s not from our farm it’s from our vibrant community of like-minded artisan food producers, farmers & fisherman who share our passion.

Open everyday 12pm-3pm for lunch and evenings on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6pm-9pm

    We were sat near the kitchen, you could actually hear and see staff pointing and joking about people eating there which was a bit off putting. Food was good.

    Lovely food, surroundings and ambience. Staff were friendly and attentive too. The only thing was that it was quite echo-ey due to the open plan, barn set up and we didn't have complete place settings. This didn't really dim the experience but was a little inconvenient.

    As always….outstanding. The rare steak was superb All the food delicious. The service was excellent. The front of house young man was outstanding, so correct on all fronts. Thank you Amanda Gyger x

    High quality ingredients, comfortable seating, lovely lighting and friendly efficient service. It was a last minute decision to eat out at this restaurant which is local to us - a lovely place for a treat or special occasion. Darts do things well and this place is no exception, thank you!

    Lovely setting with very attentive friendly staff. Very good menu choices that were a little pricey. However the food was excellent. I would strongly recommend a visit.

    Lovely ambiance only problem here is the very limited menu and the totally weird Pizza toppings I noticed one had potatoes (on a pizza)? anyway on this occasion I had a steak which was very nice except for the fact that the chef had covered it in salt before cooking so I ended up with pre salted fries, pre salted steak and a very salty peppercorn sauce, I actually like a little salt on my food but this was way over the top!! Overall the four of enjoyed the atmosphere but said we wont be coming back for a while. I think someone really needs to have a good look at the money here because if you visit regularly you will struggle to choose a main course.

    Very tasty tempura mackerel;, beetroot, blackberry and hazelnut and a nice glass of wine. The truffles were passable - not quite as good as the rest of the meal.

    We had two great steaks which were perfectly cooked, and a lovely bottle of Malbec wine. An attractive dining room with high ceilings and good level of lighting. Good service, although our side dish of veg - which was rather small - had to be re-requested. Nice salad and french fries. Orange posset for pudding. A good experience all round but there was quite a lot of salt in the food, especially the fries. Not an extensive menu but this is a farm shop restaurant and you know that what you’re eating has been sourced on their doorstep. Not cheap but reasonable for what you are getting. Would recommend with advice to diners to be wary of the salt!
