We are pleased to be recognised as a family run pub with attentive friendly staff, something that repeatedly comes up on our reviews. Our aim is to provide good quality freshly produced food and at reasonable prices.

We are delighted our customers love the warm welcoming ambience of the pub and enjoy the traditional and slightly quirky decor.

The Farmer’s Sunday lunch always offers a choice of three meats, fresh vegetables and goose fat roast potatoes. We also offer a homemade vegetarian option and can cater for gluten free and other requirements, just ask us.

Lovely late lunch, we choose a roast which was lovely but lacking a green veg choice.

1st time here today , I had the roast dinner which was plentiful and delicious!! My hubby had fish and chips which was equally huge and tasty ! Definitely going again !

Attended The Farmers for Sunday lunch. We enjoyed the Roast Dinner, my son enjoying the “All 3 roasts for an extra £2.50”. The Yorkshire puddings were huge! My husbands roast beef was a little tough. I thoroughly enjoyed my dessert of salted caramel sticky toffee pudding 😋. Our two whippets were made a fuss of by staff and guests, and had plenty of room to relax under the table.

Nice pub and a very good Sunday lunch. Friendly service too. It is not a gastronomic pub so if you’re looking for something romantic or a more ‘luxurious’ feel you won’t get it here! But great for a group who just want excellent food and a good laugh!

Three of us requiring a gluten free lunch we’re delighted to find a good choice on a well marked menu. The sticky toffee sweets were particularly enjoyed. Great to have a good varied choice of main courses unlike other pubs in the area. The service was friendly and meals good value. We will book again and recommend to our Airbnb guests

We were a small party of 3, and the staff were quick to allocate our pre-booked table. A drinks order was taken quickly and the food order shortly after, which gave us sufficient time to decide. Our drinks came quickly and the food followed and was beautifully hot and remained so. Our server returned after a few minutes to ascertain that all was well and then left us alone until we were finished. The food (scampi and chips for us all) was delicious and nice and hot (as I've already said). The ladies wine they found very acceptable, and my 360 degrees beer was very impressive (apparently its a fairly local brewery). Price was very reasonable and the bar area comfortable with an open fire although we dined in their dining room. Parking is generous and free.

Consistently good food whether you have the roast or a light bite or classic pub. Definitely a good place which I have used on a regular basis for the past three years.

There wasn’t anything on the menu that I wouldn’t have enjoyed, but having decided on the liver, well what a good choice. The portion was generous but not overwhelming and it was cooked to perfection. Soft, melt in the mouth and very tasty, hats off to the chef. The service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable but not intrusive in anyway. Highly recommended and will definitely go again.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at the Farmers today. The menu was varied and plentiful. The service was rapid and the waiters and waitresses were all friendly and efficient. The price was good value too.
