    Enjoy the evening by arriving at 6:15 pm to receive a complimentary glass of bubbly. At 6:30 pm, our staff will guide you to your table with in-season garden flowers, fresh linen, and gorgeous views. Our four-course, wine-paired meals feature homegrown and house-made Farm-to-Fork menus prepared bi-weekly by our Executive Chef, Cody McGeehee. To enhance your experience, inform your staff of any special occasions and/or dietary restrictions at least 48 hours before the reservation date. A kind message from Staff: To ensure the quality and freshness of our meals, late arrivals may receive an altered menu and may commence with the course being served at the time of arrival No children or pets allowed

    Excellent dinner with wine pairing. Service was outstanding. Arrived early to enjoy the welcome champagne and Christmas decorations throughout the downstairs.

    Beautiful ambiance... amazing meal... excellent service with staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home in their wonderful old farmhouse. At 62 I've eaten tenderloin all over the U.S., and the cut of beef my wife and I had here is at the top of our list. Thank you Veritas for an incredible evening!

    With the latest expansion you lose the personal touch - when the only people dining were guest at the farmhouse. They may have become a regional restaurant but much has been lost.

    This was a 4 course wine paired dinner, with a variety of flavors and exquisite pairing with the wines. The service was impeccable, as was the atmosphere. (except for one loud person who could be heard throughout the meal). The setting was a closed in porch that was made cozy warm on a cold evening. Turkey confit with pecan-prune was phenomenal! Especially with the Cabernet Franc. The second course, groundnut sweet potato soup also extremely pleasing to the palate with the pickled peppers in it. The beef tenderloin, which I guess was to be served rare, was just about raw inside, so I had to send it back. It was fine after that and I found the apple coder bordelaise to be a bit salty. The chef came to greet us and I gave him my critique of the meal. Overall, a wonderful foodie experience. Good wine, good food, good atmosphere and relaxation. A definite point of return.

    A wonderful dinner and evening. Attentive but not intrusive wait staff. We (6 of us) enjoyed the wine paired dinner. The food was superb, compliments to the Chef.

    This was always my top rated Charlottesville area destination meal; however I was very disappointed by my most recent experience. I have had the 4 course wine paired dinner 4 times now and this past weekend was beyond disappointing. The ambiance, wine, and service remain unchanged and unparalleled; however the newer chef is not nearly to the level of the last. The menu was on the more basic side this time, not to the level of the last 3-4 years. The steaks were served overcooked and borderline inedible. It was also incredibly salty. This dinner used to be at a much higher quality level. I would give it another try but I do miss the old chef from 2-3 years ago.

    Thr staff is warm snd welcoming. The rooms with lit fires are cozy. Socializing before dinner in the drawing room was lovely way to meet sone fellow diners. Dinner was terrific although heavier than the last 2 times we dined there with 2 meat courses and no fish course. It was all delicious . No real complaints i just missed a lighter start. The arugula salad with fresh figs and goat cheese was a delight as was the main of filet mignon cooked just right- MR. Spice cake dessert over date puree with spiced cream also delish. Enjoyed the wine accompanying each course. We will return

    This was my second experience here and it was not as good as the first. It is such an intimate setting and the chef only went to one table, not all 5. Also, we were asked if our steak was prepared correct (there was not an option to choose how it was cooked) and upon asking what the chef wanted they said medium rare. Two of the 5 steaks at our table were well done. When we said that, the wait staff said "Ok thank you." That was it. The chef did not correct or come out and apologize or anything. It was just not at the level for the price as it was a few months ago when I came.

    A very special experience. Wine tasting and wine pairing dinner made for a delightful stay. A visit to Monticello which is close by, was an unexpected pleasure.
