The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. The Foundry is a nice restaurant in downtown Dayton. There is music playing a decent level, tv's with sports, and a bar. The food was good, as a great, overall it was a great experience.

First time there service seemed to be overloaded. Not any fault of the waitress. Short ribs were good but small quantity. Rice was chewy and actually had some crunchy bites . 24hr chicken risotto was good but nothing special . Chicken was good but cut make it very clunky to eat. I've had better and worse . Price should be better for the cost. Ps. Charcuterie board was very good

Atmosphere was interesting but too loud. Our poor server got slammed with 2 large parties and our table of 4, so he had a little trouble keeping up, but he did pretty well. Food was very, very good. I prefer ice with my water but they serve it room temp. GM was considerate and helpful. I was hoping for a broader list of entrees, but I found a couple of items so I could go back to try something else. Overall, it was pretty good. Again, though, the food was very good.

Still enjoy the Foundry even if the music is too loud. Two had pizza and they were perfection. One friend had the crab-stuffed catfish and the portion was plenty. I had the creole and rice and I think the rice could have been bumped up a little bit, but I enjoyed it. service was attentive.

Outstanding experience. Two of us had pizza and two of us had salmon and both were exceptional. The service was very good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

Both the service and the food was outstanding. Could have wished the music was not quite so loud. We had to shout at each other to be heard.

The atmosphere is great but the food is just average. There are some interesting things on the menu but our orders seemed generally underseasoned and overcooked.
