   Came for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff were attentive and very polite. The food was very good, we ordered the roast beef and a nut wellington both if which came with green veg, huge roast potatoes cooked to perfection (crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside) and a parsnip puree which was delicious. Puddings were a decent size too! We also ordered the house red which was very drinkable. Overall a really nice lunch in a beautiful old pub. I’d recommend - we plan to return.

   As always, superb food and excellent service. Thank you for making our visit so special. We booked to celebrate a 60th birthday, a good time was had by all. Would thoroughly recommend this venue for a great group get together with delicious food, great value for money.

   Amazing pub, 5 star food, well worth the cost, We went there at 1st to check out the Wings Christmas song, but to be honest we found an amazing place to eat and will be coming back as the beer was cold and crisp, again food was out of this world, met the landlords and they both are beautiful people and the staff did their jobs very well, great atmosphere in the pub had by all that were in there while we were, Again I can not praise this place enough, winter, its a nice cosy log fire pub to keep warm and looking forward to going back in the warmer months with all the garden space and outside champers bar, a must stop and on the list for future visits..

   The pub is lovely, food lovely & staff all super engaging, unfortunately the owner/manager, wife, decided to come into the dining room & hold a very private & delegate telephone conversation with one of the staff. Without going into details - This was a conversation that should have been done privately not in the same room as us. Her true colours came through! Shame, it’s a great pub, food lovely, but we promptly left as it made us feel uncomfortable

   Service excellent. Food and drinks all very good. Would have been even nicer if the fire was roaring but it was burning low.

    Steak pie and mash the best I have ever had. Old pub atmosphere charming, hosts very welcoming and friendly. Go there regularly. My guests well satisfied also.
