The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea.

The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!

Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.

Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

    This place is amazing, from atmosphere to food to service. Highly recommend (especially the Sunday roast… unbeatable!).

    We had a lovely evening - the atmosphere is buzzing. The waitress was fabulous very efficient and attentive. The food for what it is I feel is overpriced - it’s good but at those prices it should be great. We had a good time though

    We just had a wonderful English pub experience! Absolutely loved it. Don’t change anything. Keep it all the same old wonkey wonderful. It’s beautiful. Mais oui

    Maybe because the place had been overhyped but expected so much more like , better cooked meat (tough), attentive service with great attitude (“it’s the staff that make this place” - mmm) and better ambience. Would not suggest people don’t go to try it, but compared to Hunters Moon down the road Fox and Pheasant comes second. IMHO.

    Love this pub…but visit was a bit disappointing this time. Main course (turkey) was really dry & vegetables & potatoes undercooked. Rioja underwhelming. Come on Fox & Pheasant !! Back next week with my friends so please make it wow!!

    Food and drink always very good but the staff working there make the difference. They all go the extra mile, friendly, polite, helpful and all done with sincerity.

    Well to start the prices have gone up so much here! The mousse went from £10 to £16! That’s crazy! Unfortunately the service does not match the prices! They are untrained and not attentive! The young man saw me take my coat off and did not offer to take it from me and hang it! I had to fight my way to the coat hanger! He just stood there and watched. We used to come all the time when we lived in London and really love to come! Now that we live overseas we only come about 4-5 times a year but this time we were very disappointed! It would be nice to offer soup this time of the year! Also the lights were turned down too much so hard to see the food! We like romantic but not dark.

    Absolutely outstanding Steak and ale pie was about as perfect as you can get..the steaks were flavoursome and perfectly cooked The apple toffee pud beautiful Could not recommend this pub/restaurant more Thanks to the good people of the fox and pheasant for a top notch lunch!!
