   The food was prepared with careful thought in terms of flavors & presentation. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly but professional. Loved the tableware and the extra touch of signed Christmas card by all the staff.

   We went to The Frog to celebrate my partner's birthday and it was a great experience - great food (a lot of great food), great staff with people from across the team bringing us courses, great atmosphere and a lovely setting. We had a drink in the bar before our meal and that was also lovely. Have eaten at a few Michelin star places (one 3 star) and this was my favourite - it isn't fussy or pretentious, food is delicious and each course has a story, staff are relaxed and friendly while being very professional and they do not push the upsell (Although we did opt in for the two additional courses, which were worth it) - the sommelier even suggested a bottle of wine that was less expensive than the one we selected. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely come again,

   Wonderful birthday dinner. The experience end to end was great. Relaxed atmosphere for a 1 star. Lovely service, very friendly and attentive. Food was exceptional. Some really creative dishes, our favourite was the Cheese and Onion (McCoy’s) snack. Simply amazing Thank you x

   The tasting menu at Frog was mind-blowingly good and far beyond what you would expect from a single Michelin star restaurant. The manicured dishes flow at just the right speed which is important given you munch through nine or ten plates including the amuse-bouche at the start and the petits-fours. The stand out dish for me was the crab timbale with a deliciously fresh herb sauce of blitzed lovage, sorrel, parsley and apple peel. The minute crab decorations were a lovely touch. This edged out the duck served with a remarkable umami mushroom "ketchup" and turnip puree. I particularly enjoyed the use of British ingredients like woodruff (similar to vanilla) which are not perceived as luxuries but have phenomenal flavour. The only miss on the food was the temperture of the lobster ravioli. We enjoyed the premium wine pairing and the sommeliere did a fantastic job of explaining the aromas and flavours and how they matched each dish. My main criticism is that given the price point for the premium wine flight (£250) there really should be more premium wines. Having memorized the labels some cost £20-30 which is definitely not premium. That said, well chosen and fun, but wine quality should be higher. The cod would have benefited from a Pouilly-Fuisse 1er Cru or Chablis 1er Cru from a south-facing slope which captures some tropical notes. My advice: buy a bottle from the list as these are much better value than the flights. All in all, the food and experience was on a par with Lameloise in Burgundy which has three stars.

   Exceptional Tasting menu which surprised in each course. The food was delicious and exactly at the high levels we expected - Service was also exceptional. We had theatre tickets for 7.30 and despite arriving at 5.00pm and being told that the menu would take generally 3 hours, the staff worked hard to make sure we got through the meal with more than enough time to arrive at the theatre on time but also enjoy everything.

   It was my birthday lunch and the whole experience was great. I had the tasting menu. I wasn’t rushed off the table at any point. And the food was outstanding

    It is expensive but worth every penny. Staff were lovely and food was fantastic. Been there twice and food was different but still amazing as the last time
