The Front Porch is an intimate restaurant featuring creative Southern Coastal Cuisine located in historic Leonardtown. Set within the Sterling House, we offer casual dining in a cozy atmosphere and our friendly staff delivers gracious service.

We are open for outside, dine-in downstairs and dine-in upstairs seating by reservation only. Outside seating is weather permitting and available in order of booking. Outside seating is only available if you are given the option when you confirm your reservation.. Please call for any party in excess of 8 people. Please call if anyone in your party can not walk upstairs. We do not have an elevator. If you cannot show up for your reservation... Please call and cancel. PLEASE!

                                                                                      Food was amazing as always, service was "ok" took our order and didn't come back to refill drinks, just to give us the bill. Still like it though. : )

                                                                                      Roomy, quaint, fireplaces lit. Excellent service, very good meal, everything was fresh and hot out of the kitchen. Overall, it was a very pleasant meal experience.

                                                                                      We love the front porch always constant great food, great service. Staff is always friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home!!!! Make sure you make a reservation as they do a great job planning for their daily guests knowing who wants to come when.

                                                                                      I felt that the duck breast that I ordered was overcooked. It should have been a llitle pink inside . it was very chewy. other than that our dinner was very good.

                                                                                      Average price was $25 + for a plate. 1 person had scallops, there was three on his plate., I had pork shank and received this giant two boned knuckle on my plate….how to cut it? With a dinner butter knife. How to hold it the bones fell out, could not see what was fat or meat or grizzle. Could not taste the bbq sauce. The grits were soupy. So a C for food. No pictures on the wall, just orange paint with a stain on the ceiling maybe wires were there? No ambience. Waitress was too busy didn’t even tell us about specials, if we had not heard another waitress tell her table while we were eating we would not have known any existed. Many many steps from parking lot to front door. They were well lighted. Servers were polite. Only a C grade here other restaurants on this street are far better.
