    As a longtime fan of the Gage I was, for the first time ever, disappointed in my meal. The salad, wine choices and dessert were outstanding but my expensive halibut was mushy instead of the a-bit-steaky fish I like. My fault for not saying something to the waiter.

    The ambiance was absolutely amazing! The drinks were fantastic and the bar service; phenomenal. The food was delicious and well presented. I cannot wait to return!

    We really enjoyed the atmosphere here but the food was not that great. We ordered steak au poivre and the sauce was not very good at all. The steak was prepared as requested - rare - but the sauce had no taste at all. Our server was excellent but for the price the food should have been better.

    Thank you to David for taking such good care of us! Food was great but we appreciated the attention to detail from David and making sure we had a lovely meal within a short timeframe. Will be returning during my next trip to Chicago!

    Very prompt seating and service. Our server Lylah was very attentive and did everything very well. Loved being seated on the outer sidewalk patio and just an overall great lunch experience.

    As usual, dinner at The Gage was a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the ambiance perfect. The best thing, however, was the fact that we were served by a wonderful, charming, totally-professional server named "David." This guy is a gem and any classy eating establishment in any city should be happy to have the gentleman on its staff.
