Established in 1970 by the late Mike and Kay Tinios, the Galley Hatch has been a seacoast favorite restaurant for 50 years. An extensive menu offers traditional American Food highlighting New England seasonality and serves lunch and dinner daily. Collectively, the Three Dining rooms, Tap Room, and four season Lower Deck, provide seating for over 400 guests. Staff seemed a bit bothered by our request to sit in the bar area which was requested when I made the reservation. We find the bar area cozier, less noisy and warmer.

Great food and quite a variety of menu choices. It was early and we were in a quiet area which we appreciated. I had the baked haddock with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. My husband had a sausage and pepperoni pizza. Big portions- we had a lot of leftovers. The cannoli was pretty good. I’d recommend the Galley Hatch. Their best feature is their wonderful bakery onsite!

We had friends in from Tennessee and he told me that he was looking forward to Fried Clams which they apparently don't have in TN! He was not disappointed. I love the Galley Hatch because they have so many gluten free options. Since we don't live that far from it, we will probably be regular customers.

Food and service was excellent and we’ll be going again. The older dining room was not as loud as the “cafeteria” atmosphere of the room we were in a couple of weeks ago. Food and service outstanding, but incredibly loud.
