   The prices are quite high for a surfer resto. The food was hoping to be haute cuisine but was just over sauced. I don’t recommend.

   The Gilded Iguana is a boutique resort in Nosara beach community. The restaurant is in a large outdoor covered space. Attentive service and good fresh ingredients. I had a Casado with red snapper. They have delicious smoothies and juice drinks as well as alcoholic offerings. A lovely place for lunch.

   Consistently good food and service. They added a signature menu but I was happy to see the classic menu. Love the lime chicken.

   Lovely setting. Great menu with plenty of great options. Line chicken was excellent and whole chicken nice shareable offering. Portions were very good. Press issue if you have any allergies (nuts) as not always evident and waiter missed it. Avoided item once served as we were suspicious. Nice vibe.

   Good was quite good but we waited an hour for it despite the restaurant being 1/3 full when we arrived.

   Service was wonderful! Tenderloin and curry were delicious! Catch if the day- sea bass, was good. Avoid the smash burger- too greasy. Plates of bread were offered when we arrived. Then we were offered a bowl of chips and tasty guacamole. We enjoyed these nice extras! It was a lovely family Christmas dinner!

    As a first-time guest, we would love to hear about your local favorites and specials without having to prompt the response. The atmosphere could use some background music to live up the place a bit.
