    Excellent duck confit, and ham&potato soup! Great atmosphere, excellent service! A Sonoma institution, really. Check it out!

    Watch out for undisclosed fees on your bill. There's a 4.5% add on referred to as "staff fee," prior to the tax and total from which one tips!

    A group of us went to Girl & the Fig for a birthday dinner. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I am from the area and it is one of our favorite restaurants in Sonoma. Our waiter, Seth, made it a wonderful dining experience and his suggestions for our entrees and wine were all perfect. I was even treated to a delicious warm chocolate chip cookie with a candle to end the evening! A great time was had by all

    Friends recommended this restaurant and they were right. The Girl & the Fig was terrific. The appetizer bread & butter was a nice start. Not sure we appreciated the radishes with anchovy butter appetizer as much. The Butter Lettuce Salad, Smoked Trout Salad, Fish Meneur Main were outstanding. The salad dressings were interesting and light tasting. The fish was perfectly prepared. For dessert, we had the chocolate caramel with chocolate nibs which we recommend. The drinks were good as were the apertifs. Definitely will return to this establishment.

    We had been there years ago and had been very satisfied. This time... Noise level was bad due to a couple of boisterous groups and some out of control kids. Multiple in my party had the flat iron steak. According to a web search, it's supposed to be 2nd only to filet mignon for tenderness. All ordered medium rare (mine was much closer to rare). Almost the toughest steak I've ever had. If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have sent it back. Flavor was good. The fries that came with it were good. Fruit and cheese plate was mediocre... 2 of three cheeses were almost identical in (bland) flavor and so hard, they were really more appropriate for grating. Out of season, unripe pears and strawberries were almost flavorless. Service was good so the tip was good. Will not return for these prices and quality.

    Great food, service and ambience. We were greeted with a friendly hostess and seated promptly to our outdoor tented table which was quite comfortable and well heated. After our “cocktails” we ordered the flounder and schnitzel and both were excellent. Our table was well attended to. We shared the server recommended cranberry galette which was the highlight. Highly recommend!
