Afternoon Tea, a decades-long tradition at The Brown Palace, is set amid the historic grandeur of the Atrium Lobby serenaded by a melodic piano. Guests enjoy a pot of properly brewed English tea accompanied by scones served with Devonshire cream and preserves, savory tea sandwiches, and a delightful array of classic tea pastries.

A honored Denver tradition, the National Western Stock Show's 2025 Grand Champion Steer joins us for Afternoon Tea, after a red carpet walk.

$10.00 per person for Vegan and / or Gluten- Free. Parties of five or more, please choose a maximum of three teas. Complimentary second plate of sandwiches included. Twenty percent gratuity will be added for parties of five or more. We will not accept more than three credit cards per party, and the check will be split evenly.

This was my third tea at the Brown Palace. Overall it was fine, but compared to teas I’ve had in the last couple of years in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs, I found the food and the service underwhelming for the cost. It’s always a lovely time and the atrium is beautiful.

The holiday tea at the Brown Palace is a very special treat! My husband & I enjoyed it with our 2 granddaughters which made it even more special. Ambiance is wonderful and the tea itself w/finger sandwiches, scones w/ lemon curd & Devonshire cream & assortment of dainty desserts are out of this world delicious! Go if you can!

Our Tea at the Brown Palace during early January of each year is a tradition, marking birthdays for the coming year. We love the ambience, especially when the Christmas decorations are still up. The waitstaff is wonderful, especially Hiwat, who has been our server each year. She makes it entertaining and is always ready to help with suggestions for tea.

I felt like Queen for a day’ wonderful Birthday celebration and the service was impeccable! Everyone from valet to waitstaff were professional and so kind ! What a treat The pianist played Happy Birthday They don’t make places like the Brown Palace anymore Plus the Christmas Decorations A definite highlight

We did the High Tea service before the Stockshow parade. The tea service was absolutely lovely! We got to pick one tea flavor each and chose the champagne option. The scones, tea sandwiches and pastries were so good along with the cream, curd and preserves to go along with the scones. The service was impeccable and the hotel was still decorated for Christmas and was absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to do this again!! So fun with the girls!!

We loved our experience and this tea is an annual treat for us. The only issue was my tea pot kept spilling, rather than change out the tea pot, I had a mess with tea all over the table. I finally had to ask someone to change my pot. I was surprised that the server didn't think of that!

Lovely experience,beautiful surroundings Food was delicious. Our server was very good, unfortunately a little overworked with so many tables. We will definitely return again 🤗

It was so lovely, and all of the staff we interacted with were friendly and kind. I booked tea for two as a birthday celebration for myself and my cousin. They brought out a cupcake with a candle and timed the piano man to play happy birthday on the piano as they brought it out to me. It was so classy, and fun!

Ambiance was lovely Tea/food was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was adequate but it was not very busy (likely due to weather) and staff were busy with larger tables. We had a 2 top and felt slightly overlooked. Will make it an annual tradition for me and my daughter.
