Located in Lincoln Square's unique Rockwell Corridor, The Green Post (No. 49) is a testament to the centuries-old traditions and evolution of the Public House. Our aspiration is to offer guests a home outside of theirs; a place to meet with friends, host a meeting, read a book, play a game, work remotely, or watch a match amongst the historical architecture of our three rooms with additional garden spaces.

Thought the food and the ambiance were terrific. Completely disappointed to arrive and find a posted sign inviting us to seat ourselves, so not sure why we made a reservation. Tables were set with a QR code and you ordered only via the app. No server approached our table unless they were delivering what we ordered. No one checked on us, cleared plates, offered water or to-go boxes. We had to ask for water and were informed to pour our own at the end of the bar. Not what I was expecting at all, especially when we dropped over $100 on dinner for two. After receiving basically fast food service, the tip was set for 22% when we went to pay. I'd go back for drinks and snacks, knowing what to expect, but not for dinner. If I'm going to spend that much money, I'd like to feel like my business was important enough to receive actual table service.

Warm and comfortable spot with kind and attentive service. My crisp sandwich was delicious and comforting. I just can’t believe I paid $17 for a grilled cheese sandwich!

The chicken and paneer pie was out of this world. First time I had a curry flavor in the states that reminded me of India. Fish and Chips were super well done, as well as the wrap with the side salad. Although the wrap was a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, it was still tasty. Cocktails were fabulous. Overall, great experience for English style pub. Will definitely be back. I heard they may discontinue the pies. Please don’t get rid of the pies. They are absolutely delicious.

The server was not very attentive during our meal. It was not clear whether the on-table QR codes should be used to order for order via the server. This led to disjointed food delivery timing. The food was tasty.

What a great neighborhood spot! Classic pub food, malty beers, and they did a great job of accommodating my larger family group.

Excellent pastry on their pie. Great mushy peas too. But the rest of the food was fine. I wish they had more of a pie selection and they were a little dry.
