We had a meal for my birthday scallops to start were fantastic 3 would have been great i had chicken for main great , hubby had ribeye not so great so didn’t charge us for the steak puds were great rice pudding with raisin and cardamon ice cream. We enjoyed so much going back for Valentines.

This hotel and restaurant is a real find. The interior is quirky and welcoming and both the food and staff lovely. We stopped by for an early evening meal after a walk in Matlock. The welcome was warm as was the interior on this chilly day. We took some seats close to the fire and enjoyed a few, well-presented, drinks whilst we waited for the restaurant to open at six ( though pizzas are available all afternoon. We were made very welcome and enjoyed lovely food from the unusual and varied selection on the menu. Special mention to the game pie - made with suet pastry which really hit the spot. Another special thing we noticed was the more unusual choice offered for the veggies - which makes a nice change. Would thoroughly recommend this place

Visited for Sunday lunch and the menu choice was excellent. We chose roast beef and the roast turkey which came with lovely choice of veg. The wine list is varied and good value. Worth a drive out and we would visit again.

The greyhound hotel serves delicious food the goats cheese and beetroot tart, and the corn fed chicken was divine ; excellent service; staff very attentive, they source fresh local produce, my first time for a visit highly recommended. I hear the freshly made pizzas made in the pizza oven are well worth a visit for also. I will definitely be calling again. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion. Superb !

We eat here on New Years Eve evening and the meal was outstanding. Compliments to the chef and the staff who served us. Amazing.

Service was excellent, staff were all friendly and helpful. Surroundings and room were beautiful and clean. Food was lovely and well worth the money. Would definitely recommend

Staff made you feel welcome gave us plenty time to choice our option with the menu . Meal was great and we Sat talking after for at least an hour and felt we didn't need to rush off .
