   Our experience was pretty disappointing considering how many good reviews we read before going to The Grill. We went at 4:30pm on a Saturday before a show, it was Valentine’s weekend but no where near a normal weekend rush. Our service didn’t start out terrible, just a little slow. Then our food took over 45 mins to come out (main entrees with no appetizers) and when it did it was beyond disappointing. My husband has the rockfish special and it was totally lacking in flavor and dry. My steak was super over cooked- I ordered medium rare and it was closer to medium well. Pretty disappointing for a place that seems to specialize in steak. My husband’s second drink also took over 20 minutes. At this point we never saw our waitress again and my husband has to chase her down to pay the check so we could make our show. So beyond disappointed.

   Our Server Mckenzie was the delight of the evening. From her attentiveness, knowledge of the menu and recommendations hitting the mark each time our time was amazing

   Perfect location for girls night out. the sunset prefix menu is the ideal choice to sit watch the beautiful colours in the sky over the water.

   The server(I’m sorry I don’t remember your name) did an amazing job explaining the menu, offering suggestions like the Cajun Branzino which was delicious. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and I took her and the rest of her family out to The Grill and it was all of our first time. The calamari as the starter was crunchy and flavorful and the entrees(like the Cajun Branzino, bbq pork ribs I think, and my ribeye with some crab cakes with some chimichurri)… give the cooks a raise because all the dishes were great. Their flavorful green beans and their cheesy pimentón Mac and cheese were also on point, but I’m glad the entrees exceeded my expectations. It ended with my girl and her mom(surprisingly) getting a slice of key lime pie to celebrate the birthday girl. Anyway thanks for the service and tell the server if y’all get his name thanks again

   We had an amazing experience. All of the staff was nice & attentive. Food & drinks were amazing as well as the atmosphere. Highly recommended & will definitely be back!

    The restaurant was located at the wharf which is always filled with such a nice ambiance. When you enter to the left is the front where you can check in. When we arrived we were greeted by our waiter who was very tentative to our needs. They do have anoption called " The mixed Grill" which is $79.00/per person. Which come with a house salad, Grilled asparagus added items were sweet potatoes , deviled eggs with duck mousse and caviar, grilled cheese which is similar to mozzarella sticks but it had a sweet crust with a drizzle of possibly honey or syrup, lamb skewers w/ a tzatziki sauce (Not pictured ). Jumbo shrimp, Ribeye steak, two crab cakes. We did have a reservation which we were able to book through open table. Fun perk of booking is it prompts you to down load the " InKind" app which allows you to receive a welcome reward of $50 off your meal if you pay using the app. I thought that was a great option and encourages your dinning experience. All you have to do is on the top of your check it has a check number you can enter it into the app. Put your card information. Also 20% gratuity is added to your total amount and reminder that you will pay whatever the dc tax is as well. Which also allows you to gain InKind cash for your next meal which you have a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. It was overall a pretty decent experience.
