   We were really hot in the area near the kitchen and asked to be move to a cooler location. They moved us near an open door with lovely breeze and views

   We have loved coming here for years, but seems to be every time we come back we are just more & more disappointed with the service and unfortunately the food (first time ever) We did request room for a pram also, and it was provided... right in front of the kitchen super loud for a 4month old baby and the amount of times the pram got knocked with my baby sleeping as serves where going past was ridiculous. We were here to celebrate our grandmothers/great grandmothers birthday and the experiences was overall terrible not what we have had in the past. Also waited over 20mins for the bill as there was some sort of mix up while we just wanted to get our babies home. Not sure if we'd come back after this visit...

   A great experience and the food was top notch. Highly recommend but you def need a booking. Very busy but food and service was excellent.

   A visit to The Grounds of Alexandria cafe on a weekend is a must, with its vibrant atmosphere, stunning decor, and mouthwatering menu. Our breakfast was outstanding, featuring perfectly cooked scrambled eggs on toast (delicious) and a refreshing lemonade and passion fruit drink. The cafe's charming aesthetic only adds to its allure.    Went to Grounds of Alexandria for brunch with my mum and it was fantastic. The food and drinks were lovely, ambience was buzzing and busy especially for a Monday! The Claris theme displays were stunning and we took so many beautiful photos. Will definitely come back soon :)

   Despite trying for years to enjoy the Grounds Cafe, we have sadly decided never to return. Today’s service was the last straw for us local Sydney foodie family who love to explore and travel the world. We completely understand the the Grounds easily relies on its unique venue and can therefore have poor service without worrying about losing customers, but it’s sad that a local family who has been frequently visiting since its very first opening (before its insta-worthy fame), has to finally make the decision that it’s just never worth it. Despite having a 1pm booking we had to wait in line for an extra 20 mins (with kids) to wait for a table to be ready. We then had to wait another 10-15 before even ordering. We then ate and were still waiting for the ‘specialty’ drinks. When they finally arrived (after our food was over), we were told that there weren’t enough special cups (pretty much the entire reason we were ordering them, for the aesthetic) and one kid had to miss out. Not even two sips in the $14 drinks were gone - filled with ice and froth and barely a mouthful of drink. Our kids were so disappointed. I ordered a second glass of wine and it never came and we had to cancel it when we asked for the bill. Two female toilets in the whole huge vicinity and with five girls in our own family, that was difficult enough, let alone the line to the toilet. The icing in the cake was waiting to buy a toy from the installation and watching the workers chatting together without offering us any service, despite trying to ge your attention. We walked off without purchasing anything. I know nothing will be done about this complaint because the Grounds are so unique and rely on a constant flow of tourists, but it’s such a shame that we have travelled the world and had amazing service, yet our own hometown can’t even come close to providing even basic service like giving us the drinks we ordered. It’s just not worth it anymore, much to our disappointment.

   What an amazing place.. lots of choices of eateries.. The menu variety was amazing.. The Big Brekkie .. with the following... Huevos rancheros poached eggs, chicken chorizo, turkey bacon, avocado, chilli, halloumi, hollandaise, coriander, crisp chips.. was large enough to share! So was the vanilla chiffon cake with mascapone Chantilly cream and strawberries.. You will return to try everything else!
