The Harbourview Grille transports guests back to the early days of The Royal, when Campbeltown was known as “the whisky capital of the world” featuring no less than 34 working distilleries along with a thriving fishing industry that had Campbeltown Harbour and The Royal Hotel bustling with businessmen, vacationers and locals alike. Had to wait 15 minutes for a drink in Black Sheep pub prior to meal. One overrun bar maid trying to do too many things at same time. Service also patchy in restaurant with lots of waits for drinks & food. Overall an average experience.

Our table was booked for 6pm, restaurant was quiet yet we didn't recieve our food until 7.10pm! Food was at best mediocre and only just warm. I had a 3 year old with me aswell and his wee pizza took an additional 15 mins to appear

Lovely restaurant. Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent standard and choice of food. Excellent value for money. This was my first visit to the town and I was really impressed with The Harbourview Grille.

Nice location and friendly staff but the food was just a bit bland and expensive for what it was, my starter was heavily salted and felt processed and my main course was tasteless, even after having spent the day cycling to get there.

I ordered I Filet-Steak medium, I got a piece well done and very dry. This was a very disapointing experiance to a high price. As we wanted to speak with the chief he said: „That‘s the way we cook here!‘ This is a no go in a restaurant! Never again Harberview Grille in Campbeltown!!!

Food was decent, had chicken parm, pasta beneath could’ve done with being abit warmer. £20 for it was steep, good size portion just nothing special. Staff were nice
