   Looking for a good Americanish restaurant near Penn station that we could eat dinner at 4 or 4:30. I found so many that seemed good but disappointed with their reviews Everything about The Harold restaurant not only sounded great but WAS GREAT. Valerie, our waitress could not have been more accommodating. She described some items we asked about and most importantly made sure that our entrees were not served before we finished our appetizers and 1st drinks. She came over twice after we received the entrees and was not intrusive. In fact I wanted more of the delicious sauce on the chat cauliflower and it appeared in minutes. I am not particularly fond of cauliflower but loved the way they were browned and the sauce was amazing. My husband also used it on his calamari. The guac was great as were the dips in the Mediterranean flight. Husband had the fish and chips and ate every morsel. Altho probably difficult to believe from above review, but I am fairly thin and a picky eater. Evening ended with the manager- think his name is Ernesto- kindly taking Pictures of the 3 of us.

   Great drink selections. The gingerbread espresso martini was delicious. There were a fair amount of gluten free options.

   Everyone was so nice and super friendly. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great. Staff was so helpful. Will definitely be returning.

   Specifically asked that entrees not come out right after food and barely after we received them the waiter came with entrees. Wrong kids meal was delivered and only 2 of the 3 adult meals. 3rd adults meal took almost 5 more minutes and correct kids meal took 10. Unacceptable and nothing was done to offer to rectify. Fish tacos were mediocre and basically an appetizer.
