Been here many times, one of our favorite places. Last night might have been just an “off” nite but it’s a little concerning. Prices are really high just like most restaurants but now it seems that The Henry is cutting portions? We ordered our two favorite dishes the bolognese and the skirt steak. They both seem reduced from what we have had before. The taste was a bit bland compared to what we know. The tortilla soup, one of my favorite appetizers, was also a bit bland, lukewarm and had no avocado. Seems they are cutting items? I really hope that’s not the case, because it’s one of our favorite restaurants in the valley. Stop raising already high prices and don’t start cutting the quality or quantity. That will be final straw.

We had a great time dining at the Henry. The service was absolutely fantastic, and the food was amazing. The hostess and our waitress were very helpful and suggested great dishes. I highly recommend the Henry!

I recently dined at The Henry with a client-turned-friend on Thursday, March 13th, and the experience was an absolute delight. It had been over a year since my last visit, but The Henry continues to impress with its inviting ambiance, impeccable service, and consistently solid menu. We started with appetizers, ordering the Short Rib Potstickers and Parmesan Truffle Fries. While the fries were average, the potstickers were absolutely delightful—flavorful, well-prepared, and a great way to kick off the meal. For my salad, I opted for The Henry House Salad, and it turned out to be the highlight of my entire meal. The combination of tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, cage-free eggs, bacon, heirloom carrots, herb croutons, and parmesan was perfectly balanced and refreshing. Honestly, I could have ordered another plate and been completely satisfied! For my entrée, I chose the Seared Ahi Tuna. The tuna itself was exactly what I had hoped for—beautifully seared and full of flavor. However, the green curry rice was undercooked, which was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the shiitake mushrooms, snap peas, heirloom carrots, Thai basil, and spicy coconut lemongrass broth were fantastic, adding depth and vibrancy to the dish. My friend ordered the chicken, which she enjoyed. We each had a glass of wine with our meal, and to end the night on a high note, we indulged in dessert. While I don’t see it listed on their menu now, it was an incredible buttery bread dessert with vanilla gelato, toffee crunch, and caramel drizzle—a perfect balance of textures and flavors. My friend couldn’t get enough of it, and I have to agree—it was a memorable and well-executed sweet finish. Overall, The Henry remains a go-to spot in Phoenix. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, service is excellent, and while there were a couple of minor missteps (the fries and the undercooked rice), the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The service was excellent. The menu does not mention all of the ingredients in the entries. The short ribs were more than 40% large chunks of fat and the meat was not tender.
