We are a Pizza and Wine Bar located just a few strides from Surrey Hills Train station, on Union Road. We think that wine should first and foremost be fun, and therefore we look to showcase avant-garde producers who make wine in a fresh and approachable manner - wines that sit perfectly alongside a delicious slice of pizza.

The Hills is my favourite place for a drink. It has a warm, sophisticated vibe (think artwork and candlelight), great selection of wine, sides and gourmet pizza (I particularly recommend the salmon pizza). What really makes this place a winner for me, though, is the service: they are warm, welcoming and really know their wines! I've brought friends many times to The Hills; this evening I brought my parents, and the lovely manager greeted me by name and thoroughly charmed my folks. This bar is one of Melbourne's best.

I recently visited The Hills Wine Bar and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The service was excellent and incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The wine selection was impressive, and every dish we tried was delicious. The cozy vibe of the bar added to the overall enjoyment, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing evening. Highly recommend!

The noise level of off the chart. They were out of wine and beer. Limited menu choice.

Came for a quick early evening dinner. Always good service and great pizzas. It’s worth noting the menu has been pared back since our last visit. Despite that it’s still a local gem.

The restaurant offers a decent selection of pizzas, but the non-vegetarian options could use more variety to cater to a wider range of tastes. While the portion sizes are acceptable, they feel a bit small considering the price. The vegetarian pizzas are enjoyable, though they lack the depth of flavor that would make them truly stand out. On a positive note, the wine selection is excellent, and the ambiance creates a welcoming and pleasant dining experience."

Every time we visit we have a fantastic time. Whole team is great but in particular gabe. Who always looks after us and gives us his wine recommendations. He never gets it wrong❤️

The cheeses weren’t great and small and overpriced for what we got. Very basic. Need to add some small complementary pieces to platter to make it more appealing. For example: nuts, dried fruits, 2 types of crackers. Surrey Hills is a suburb that would definitely appreciate a bit more thought and care put into it. Pizzas were average. Don’t want to be a negative Nancy but doesn’t take a lot more effort to make it a much more special experience for your patrons and will attract more people.
