The Hornet has been serving the community of Denver for more than 25 years now, and it has become a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Located just a few doors away from Denver's finest independent movie house, The Mayan Theatre, it makes a great stop combo for dinner & a movie. Our happy hour kicks off each day at 4pm and goes until 7pm and features $4 draft beer & wine and also $3 off all appetizers.

Some of the top items on the menu at The Hornet include artichoke heart fritters, cheese and potato pierogis, prime rib french dip, honey stung fried chicken, cubano sandwiches and the lobster mac & cheese. The Hornet has a number of burger options as well. You could even have a private event at the restaurant. It is also nice for a date night.

We had a party of 13 and they accommodated us very well. Food was really good, nice staff, and cool place to hang!

What a lovely, quiet, unrushed lunch my friend and I had at "The Hornet"!! I had not been there in YEARS, having moved away from a close-by neighborhood, and I was thrilled. The MENU was extensive and varied; the food was fabulous; our table was spaced so that no one felt crunched into another table's conversation or occupants; our waitress, Abby, was very friendly and helpful; the entire atmosphere was conducive to having a great dining experience! Seriously. Re-visit "The Hornet" if you haven't been there in a while. GREAT!!

Lovely time watching and tasting the cocktail menu. Thought the food came out quickly and hot.

The Hornet has a great menu and tasty drinks. You must try a Winter Solstice! But, we were in the back room and the noise level was too high for our group.

Phenomenal!! Great service and wonderful food. My friend is gluten free and basically everything in the menu is GF or GFO. Server was there just enough. Professional place but you could tell the waitstaff likes their jobs which makes the experience even better. We will be back!

Service was pleasant but not always available and did not check in enough. Food was solid but nothing amazing. Greatly appreciate their attention to allergens. This is why we chose The Hornet to begin with and they did not disappoint.

Honey stung chicken is always superb. We had Bloody Mary bar and some appetizers. There were 5 of us and she was willing to split our checks any way we wanted.it’s fun people watching on Broadway. I’ve been going there since it was Mary & Lou’s
