Our service was great, but the quality of the food was equivalent to what is premade in the airport. The scones tasted stale and the ingredients overall were very forgettable. I unfortunately would not go back.

Everyone must order a tea option. Tea pots are small and they don’t stay hot but they will refill the water but not replace the tea. Make sure to ask for honey.

The food was way too overpriced. Service was good but they need better options for what you pay. Payed $200 bucks for fruits tart and ham sandwich. WTF

The space is exquisite - I could sit there all day. Service was wonderful - attentive but not pushy. The menu items were more creative than most tea services but that didn’t necessarily mean everything was amazing - the onion tea sandwich was overwhelming and one of the dessert tarts was an odd pairing of flavors as well. The tea selection was superb. My only negative take is that it’s priced high for a small amount of food, but compared to other high tea experiences around Pasadena I suppose it falls in the middle, cost wise - between the Langham and Rose Tree Cottage on one side and Madeline Gardens and Chado on the other. But the ambience is like no other and you have the added benefit of spending the day in the gardens.

Quality high tea experience with great service on all levels. The tea was very nice, good enough quality and enjoyable, the scones and cream were perfection! The sandwiches were hit or miss, but mostly just ok. Ambiance was pretty and calming. Overall a good tea spot for high tea enthusiasts, one of the better choices in LA.

The receptionists were curt and somewhat rude. The room was not fancy, it was a far cry from the English high tea rooms or the Austrian tea or coffee houses. The service of the server, once seated, was very good. The porcelain and silverware were not very elegant. The scones were excellent, so were the apple caramel tarts.

The best afternoon tea service I have had and I’ve been to many. They accommodated my sensitivities seamlessly. I was so impressed.

The Huntington Tea Room is a great place to celebrate special occasions. The ambience and service is always great, but as a vegetarian, there are very few food options for me. The sandwich choices are poor as are the salads. I would prefer more options as well as more than two scones per person. For the amount of money spent, there should be better options. When the Huntington offered its buffet, it provided better value and food choices that included me being able to choose what sandwiches I wanted instead of fixed items. There were multiple salads, including an abundance of fresh fruit, to choose from and you could return to the buffet for seconds. Since the renovation of the tea room and the revamping of its menu, I have returned three times. I think the next time however, I am at the Huntington, I will look at other options for lunch.

I have tea at the Huntington pretty regularly with my family. Service is almost always spot on and the food excellent. However, the current menu, in my opinion, is not ideal. They took out the egg salad sandwich and replaced it with a pickled beat sandwich and they also have a new lamb sandwich. Not a fan of these new items. I realize eggs are expensive right now but at $70 per person, I would think they can absorb the price increase for the eggs.
