Very tasty sausage and egg roll with good coffee. Service was very good with waitress and waiters very engaging and pleasant. Follow up drinks ie gin and tonics were also very well served. Nice feel to the place, love the furnishings!!

Came with my partner and my daughter and her boyfriend before the rugby. Welcoming and friendly service, especially from our waitress Cat (sorry if name wrong). Really made our day

me and my friends normally have a great time at the huxley but yesterdays visit fell below the standards that we normally experience and it was notable that all in my party felt the same in terms of the time taken once ordered to get both food and drink. the huxley is normally very busy especially on rugby international days and i have factored this point into my response but unfortunately the experience just did not sit well on our shoulders. i would add that stuart who we normally see and has to date provided excellent service for the many times that we have visited was not on duty and this may have contributed to our average experience this time.

My friend and I meet regularly for Saturday lunch at the Huxley. We had our usual lovely lunch with excellent service, but unfortunately several TVs were switched on for the rugby at a really high volume. We complained and were advised that this always happened for the rugby games, there was a limit to what could be done re their sound system, and that the customers watching the rugby might feel that the current sound level was not loud enough. They did manage to slightly reduce the sound but we very much felt like we were in a sports bar, which we certainly didn’t expect. The Huxley needs to clarify to customers what it is. I’ve certainly never thought of it as a sports bar.
