The Icon is a restaurant and bar located in the heart of Wollongong, directly behind the IPAC theatre. Our menu has an American + Greek influence alongside the L.A. vibe the venue already carries. There are tapas plate options for those that love to share, plus we also offer main meals for those who don't. We offer lunch specials and Sunday brunches and something for everyone . The Icon is definitely a vibe and the food will blow you away like the venue itself !!

The Icon is open all day for coffee and cake or join us for a drink at the bar with happy hour from 4pm - 7pm offering $5 tap beers and wines as well as $10 cocktail specials.

We pride ourselves in supporting local suppliers and serving up great quality food to get you ready for a night of dancing (optional)

    Our venue seats up to 150 guests !The Viper Room is a semi-private area at the rear of the venue, close to the bar. It can accommodate from 20 guests up to 30 guests (seated) or 40 guests (standing). For slightly larger groups we can overflow into the main dining area with a couple of high tops available too.

    The train station is about a ten minute walk from The Icon. The Wollongong Free Bus stops outside the front of the library which is 30 seconds away from us, we are located across the road behind the IPAC.

    Absolutely huge meals, $12.00 is the best value and tastiest around! Be sure to book though!!

    A lovely place for a lunch/dinner before a show. Staff are so friendly. Food is generous, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend

    I booked for dinner with 3 friends prior to attending a show at the IPAC. Food was great and well priced. The noise was unbelievable. I didn['t realise it was more of a pub/nightclub rather than a restaurant. If noisy / rowdy patrons and really loud music is your thing, you'll love it. Its not for a quiet pre-theatre dinner though as we had to shout to each other to be heard in conversation.

    We were booted off our table as only 1 person was eating …not going there again but we were buying a lot of drinks

    Value for money quality food to share or individual meals. Went early so not noisy. Happy hour with $5 wines. And beers! Quick friendly service in a young relaxed environment . Good cocktail list and coffee and dessert available. Function room available for events with funky artistic decor , close to the ipac
