   We had an amazing dinner at The Independent to celebrate a special birthday. The food was fantastic—all of our dishes were amazing. We were thankful for our server, Jane, and all of her team for being so attentive and caring about us having a great celebration. You will not regret dining here.

   Nice place, still great addition to Georgetown. Food we had was good. I had the skirt steak which was tender, flavorful and cooked the way I requested. It did come with only two small sliced fingerling potatoes and that was it. Some more potatoes and a vegetable would be nice. With more competition in town they really have to be on their toes. Dishes also could be a bit more colorful and perhaps be open to a bit more variety instead of being so focused on ‘southern’.

   This was our first time dining at The Independent. My wife and I were staying at The George Hotel celebrating our birthdays. We were impressed with every aspect of service and food quality. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Each course was tasty and well presented. We have already made plans to return and bring friends!

   It was excellent! Went for Thanksgiving! They offered a Thanksgiving Meal, which was excellent. I got the Filet Mignon, and it was amazing! Food, drinks, and desserts were all wonderful!

   We had a wonderful time at The Independent. Service was top notch. Crab crawls are fantastic. We highly recommend this Georgetown gem.

   Went for my daughter’s 22nd birthday. It was fabulous! We went a few months back for my wife’s birthday and had a great experience that time as well. Probably dined there half a dozen times. We are always pleased.

    A very nice evening out while visiting Georgetown. We tried the deviled eggs with fried oysters, the breaded crab fingers, and the she crab soup and all were delicious. Entrees included the nicely-flavored shrimp and grits, the crab cakes, and filet. The multi-layered chocolate cake with ice cream was amazing and comped by the restaurant. We had a great time!
