   We live near the Inn at Burklyn.We have been wanting to experience a great meal.We had guests from Virginia .We planned our day around getting ready for a special event.We live 20 minutes from the inn.Our reservation was for 5:15.p.m.We where in the car and on our way.The phone rang a little after 5p.m..The person on the line said they could not honor our reservation.The explanation was a vague kitchen issue.We understand things can go wrong.A call earlier in the day would have been fine less then 15 minutes from seating was very disappointing.We have made Open Table reservations dozens of times and never had a problem.

   Thank you for your excitement in anticipation of dining at our restaurant. We greatly apologize that your plans did not go as you expected. Unfortunately, we were faced with a last minute situation beyond our control due to sudden kitchen staffing issues and were forced to make the decision to cancel all immediate reservations. Had we known sooner that we would encounter such a conundrum, we most definitely would have let you know in a more timely manner. We contacted all of our guests as soon as possible when this situation arose as it is our top priority that all of our customers are extremely happy. Again, we deeply apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused. Thank you for understanding ~ The Staff at The Inn at Burklyn

   Another wonderful dinner at the finest restaurant in the Northeast Kingdom. Superb! Our favorite by far!

   Our server was outstanding , especially her wine service. Birthday budino was delicious and much appreciated.

   We were one of the first to be seated for dinner at 5:00 pm, but what should have been a leisure 2-hr dining experience somehow turned into 2-1/2 hours because the last half hour was waiting for our waitstaff to give us the bill! Everything up to this point was fabulous. It was a glorious Vermont evening and the views did not disappoint. But something when wrong and it was clear the waitstaff did not know what to do. To ask us to just provide our credit card # and they would enter the amount is unacceptable! Then the manager presents us with a credit card handheld machine and insists "you must enter the tip first"! Mind you, we did not even see the bill -- just a total amount which he stated he had removed something from the bill -- but no mention of what. This just left us with a bad feeling, and that is very disappointing because it really would have been a stellar review if not for this.

   Amazing experience, between the beautiful location and wonderfully restored main building. The food was perfectly prepared and excellent.

   The food was amazing especially the carrot soup. The wait staff was attentive. The desserts were very good. The views from the wrap around porch are not to be missed. If you have the pleasure of being in the area, dine here. Come early and grab a drink at the bar across the drive and sip it on the deck. You will not regret it.

   What a place! The location is beautiful and the big windows allowed us to watch the beautiful sunset. Food was great and our waitress was awesome.

    Look the food was stunning and our waitress was amazing BUT the owner of the place ruined our night's ambience. Apparently he was asked to talk to two women diners about the history of the restaurant and estate which was fine except that his monologue completely overwhelmed our conversation. He was also quite obnoxious in his manner and speaking which invaded the vibe in what is otherwise a beautiful venue.
