Service was attentive to the point of forceful and cringy. It’s not easy to get the balance right perhaps. But the worst part was the Terrible food. Very far from Italian pasta. Best avoided! I dislike leaving less than average reviews but, it all could be fixed if this wasn’t corporate run. It lacks soul

We ate here on Thanksgiving Day - A family of 6 - Parents and two grown children with spouses. We were seated at a booth adjacent to a grand piano which was playing loudly. There was no hope of conversation. We asked to be changed to another place and were told there was nothing else. But eventually another table was found for us. I asked if they had plain spaghetti and meatballs with spaghetti noodles. Was told yes. What came was a pile of stuck together long noodles about half an inch wide. Not at all what two of us wanted and ordered. One son ordered the filet. It was the smallest filet I have ever seen served at a restaurant. We were not pleased. The manager came over and offered us a free dessert. Maybe if it wasn't Thanksgiving things would have been different. We are not likely to return.

I'd been hearing a lot about the relatively new Italiano so decided to try it for a rather non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner with my husband, son and daughter-in-law. We we all delighted with the choice. The ambiance was lovely; not overly flashy, and definitely not too loud, even though I noticed we were not seated terribly far from the piano player. I'd describe it overall as "lively" but we we had no trouble with conversation at our table. There appeared to be a few dining areas, each seemed to have plenty of room between tables. I noticed the menu stated it was special for Thanksgiving, but there was still a good variety of selections. I chose the burrata as an entree and it was spectacular; my husband and the kids had the Caesar salad which I tasted and enjoyed as well. My main course was lobster ravioli, served in a not-too-heavy sauce, decent portion with enough for me to give my husband a fair amount of tastes. He enjoyed his linguine with clams. And we all thoroughly loved the two desserts we shared - Italian Rainbow cake and a spumoni cake -- delicious! The price may have been high - I think my ravioli was about $32 or so - but it was a nice holiday meal out so I'd say for a special occasion it was well worth it. Also, our server Jennifer was delightful and gracious and that always helps make dinner out a more pleasant experience!

This was a “last minute” reservation (poor planning on my behalf). It turned out to be one of the best reservations I’ve made since visiting the AZ area. Staff were kind, professional, and so accommodating! The food was excellent and desserts were decadent! None of what they did was for “show”; instead, for an excellent & pleasurable dinning experience. I will make this restaurant a repeat place to eat on all my return visits to AZ!

Thanksgiving dinner. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously. First of all, it's a beautiful space; comfortable tables, tasteful color scheme and excellent lighting. Larger room than we envisioned. We opted for the Pasta Fagioli as our appetizer; "sidebar"....we had dinner several weeks ago at Volare in downtown Chicago and thought the Pasta Fagioli was the best we had ever had. It was remarkable at The Italiano and is the new standard bearer. For dinner we had the NY Strip Steak Parmigiano and the Fleet and Sausage Cacciatore. Both outstanding and cooked perfectly. Surprisingly, they don't offer a simple pasta as a side dish (which my wife likes) but the chef accommodated. Also delicious. If we have a small complaint it would be with the attentiveness of the server. Nice man and very helpful, when requested. Otherwise, we waited too long to have our table cleared and leftovers boxed. Small issue but there is little room for error at these price points. Great wine list. We enjoyed the 2023 Balade Pinot Noir ($85). Before tip, all in, $240. We look forward to dining at the Italiano again. I should mention the beautiful lounge area and piano player. Perfect.
