   Amazing Lunar Dragon set menu. Pork belly was succulent and baos were also delicious. Would recommend and come again as staff were also excellent

   Went for a special occasion which was my birthday as a table of 4. Had the samurai set menu that was definitely worth the money and the food was delicious. The server.on the cloak room/ from entrance was lovely and seated us very quickly. Only thing that let it down was part of the table service. 15 minutes to take our order. Wine glasses cluttering up the table when we were not having wine. Dishes not cleared before they brought out our next course and having to collect to give to the server. Waiters who served dishes and reached across myself to give a dish to other people within my party. One server/manager who delivered our drinks were lovely however. Overall not the experience I expected from Ivy Asia.

   Fantastic decor, truly a feast for the eyes. Tables crammed too close together. I could literally touch the diners on the next tables if i stretched my arms. Very little privacy and certainly not an intimate dining experience. Service was adequate but generally too quick. As soon as your plate was empty it would be removed and almost immediately the next course would arrive. There was a constant sense of being rushed, which is not what was expected. The food was average at best especially when considering the prices for each dish. The most disappointing dish was the Wok Fried Lobster & Duck Fried Rice. For £30 we expected something memorable. It sadly wasn't. It was basically a bowl of fried rice (too dry) with the odd piece of lobster. The sesame toast was good and the dip nice 'n' spicy. The chicken skewers were average but on the cold side. The glazed chicken was nice without being memorable. The steamed edamame with garlic & chilli dip was laborious and the dip pretty non descript when compared to the dip for the sesame toast. The best dish for us was the Tiger Prawn rendang, not least because it provided the much needed sauce for the ultra dry Wok Fried Lobster & Duck Fried Rice. We did share our displeasure with the waiter who said he would speak with the chef. Upon return we were told that is was supposed to be dry. Oh well, at least the chef acknowledged it was dry! We were offered a free dessert but declined. In summary, the decor is fantastic and the floor a work of art. Sadly, the same cannot be said of the food which was average at best and below average at times. Considering the prices charged this was an experience that we are unlikely to choose again. It's the "foody" equivalent of the Emperors New Clothes.
