   We had a very bad customer experience at The Ivy Asia, St Paul. When we arrived for our booking, we were made to stand waiting at the bar for 25 minutes for a table to clear up, and multiple other parties were escorted to their table before us, even though we had arrived before them. Once finally being seated, we waited for about another hour without being served. After speaking to multiple staff members, including managers, who promised us to take care of the situation, we decided to leave. All in all we wasted about 2 hours waiting around which was planned to be a nice meal out. Would not recommend.

   The service was awful, except for the lady who took our orders. I had booked a table for 8:00 PM. We arrived at 7:45 PM but were asked to wait downstairs as our table wasn't ready. At 8:15 PM, we were told our table was ready, and we could go upstairs. However, once upstairs, we were informed that we needed to wait in the corridor as the table still wasn't ready. After another 10 minutes, the receptionist asked us to wait at the bar area and suggested we have some drinks while we waited. By 8:45 PM-after I had complained and asked to speak with the manager (who never showed up)-our table was finally ready. The experience didn't improve. They messed up our order, and when I asked the waiter to fix it, he never came back. The food was average at best and nothing special. This was my fourth visit to Ivy Asia St. Paul's, and it was meant to be a special celebration for my mother-in-law's birthday. Unfortunately, I will never return or recommend this lace to family or friends.

   The food and drink were very tasty and varied. Everything was served quickly and efficiently. However a few things let the overall experience down: We ordered edamame with our drinks, they didn’t arrive We order an aubergine side with our main and it didn’t arrive Waiter apologised and they weren’t on the bill so all OK until we had finished our main. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert or coffee we were given the bill, and then one of the staff came to say we need your table you can go to the bar. This was 8:36pm, we were a table of 4 and sat down at 7pm and had 2 courses. The lady then came back at 8:38 and said ladies I need the table back now as the new guests are here and we were ushered off to a very busy waiting area. It was our Christmas party and then end was very abrupt, I understood we had the table until 9 and might be given a moment to decide if we wanted drinks, coffee and desert. I wouldn’t have mentioned the side and nibbles had it not been for the abrupt ending to our meal.

   We were celebrating my son's 16th birthday, with 9 of us on the table. We ordered from their premium menu and veg menu. Food came in stylish dishes but the taste was average and service of poor. We had to ask them to bring few things many times, as they bought stuff in shsring plates so clearly some items came less and some none of us could eat as they didn't taste good. We ordered chicken for from kids menu which was okay but we also order one main chicken which was too fry so they didn't eat at all. We ordered prosecco bottles which we had to ask them to fill every time as no one was bothered to serve They bought us three small crisp at the start which was not enough so when we asked for few more, they added extra chrages on the bill. It was very insulting that we even needed to ask more plus they charging us £20 for those complimentary stuff, when we are paying almost £800 on the night! It was very disappointing..... There was no politeness in mambagers when she came to talk to us even when the overall service was poor!

   Ordered the set menu - decent amount of food for £85, but quality was unremarkable (apart from the sashimi). Lots of restaurants offering set menus for similar prices with better quality - but I guess you’re paying for the ambience. There was a 15min wait for our table, food service was quick but our drinks were forgotten about and arrived with the mains. No one offered to take our coats (they did for other couples). Not really what you’d expect for what is supposed to be a “premium” or “opulent” experience - get the basics right!!

   We had a delightful time at The Ivy Asia, St. Paul’s! The ambiance was truly unique, with beautiful tableware and stunning presentation of dishes that elevated the dining experience. The portions were generous, and we couldn’t finish everything, which is a testament to the value. Our waitress was lovely, full of energy, and had a bubbly personality, which made the experience lively. However, we noticed a slight drawback: we weren’t guided through what was on the plate, leaving us to inquire each time a dish arrived. Additionally, while the music added atmosphere, we weren’t entirely sure it matched the overall vibe

    Wonderful experience! The food, the service, the ambiance were all excellent. A special shoutout to Angela who looked after us so well, knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. She’s a gem! Would highly recommend the Ivy Asia St Paul’s.
