   We had a delicious meal and great service. My only niggle was you pay £38 for a steak with no sides! I do think that’s a bit naughty… and then the sides arrived and the mashed swede and carrot was like a babies portion in the smallest of pots. Steak sauce £4.25 😳 I think for the everyday Joe Bloggs it’s a restaurant you can only go to on a very special occasion.

   My duck curry and my friends linguine were not as good as previous times. Service was excellent

   The coffee was served after we had finished our meal and was so hot it was undrinkable until it cooled down. The server was excellent, but the long wait in an establishment of your calibre is disappointing. I could have got a coffee quicker – and enjoyed it alongside my meal – if I’d gone to Greggs across the road on Chippy Lane. I understand it was busy, but perhaps investing in another coffee machine or additional staff might help. Given your reputation, higher service standards are expected. In fact, I even mentioned to my dad towards the end of the meal whether we should order a juice or another drink instead and cancel the coffee, as I didn’t think it would ever arrive.

   Our server was amazing, but everything else was ok at best today. Food was unbelievably slow. Menu is getting very same old. No soap in the dispensers of the toilets. The staff hold this place together at the minute. Sure it’s just a blip though.

   Lovely evening in a beautiful restaurant 😍. 250 pounds for 3 people with aperitifs, 3 courses and a lovely bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend this place 👌
