We have visited many times and always look forward to coming back. However, last night, having booked months ago, there was no table ready for us and we had to wait 45 minutes just inside the door, there were crowds at the bar. I understand that it’s a busy time of year but that’s what the reservation system is for. Also no apology or explanation was given by staff other than to say the previous table what chatting too much! We were a party of 6 and clearly sat at a table that was not meant for us when we were eventually sat it was far too big and made conversation difficult, especially on such a busy night. Overall not the lovely Christmas evening experience that we have come to expect from the Ivy sadly.

Very slow service yes it’s Christmas but put more staff on. Will they ever change the vegetarian menu. Incredibly loud putting four people at a usual table for 2!!!

Food excellent, drinks service slow. The bill was brought to the table before we had finished our deserts despite being seated a half an hour late. Bill was also incorrect.

Completely dreadful. 25 minutes late being seated with staff offering nothing but “it’s busy” by way of explanation. Food was then crap - flavour free steak tartare followed by severely overcooked cod. Will never step foot in it again.

A great festive buzz at The Ivy. The wait staff is excellent. The food was very good and the ambience lends itself to a very fun filled experience. It's a large restaurant that can be very noisy. Not really a restaurant for a quiet intimate dinner but certainly a restaurant for a good time with friends. Certainly on my list of restaurants to go back to in Dublin.

Most enjoyable and food excellent. Great service to our table. Only negative is that to the right of our table was double door that kept on opening and closing, mostly left not closed after use, so I froze for while lunch. Kept asking staff to close door but waste of time. The table should be screened as I am sure this is the same for all. Should not have to sit for food (not cheap) and freeze. It’s a shame.
