    Was celebrating a 21st birthday, we had a lovely round table the warm salted bread was lovely, we all had cocktails to start which were great, all the starters were great, we all had filet steak but not really the best quality, we had a nice birthday surprise a profiterole with candle we then shared a sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce which was rather good, but the only real disappointment was the wine, I ordered a bottle of pinot noir cloudy bay at £76.00 I was somewhat shocked this bottle of wine was presented to me with a screw cap, I never expected this and also the wine was slightly warm well above room temperature but I did not wish to make a fuss on this special occasion, but the temperature needs to be addressed, but overall we had a wonderful time.

    Great visit to the ivy. Went for a girly lunch with my granddaughter (8yrs old) who was in awe of the place in the decorations, food and was made to feel very special by the staff. Thankyou for a wonderful lunch. We will definately visit again

    The waitress wasn’t very attentive. She didn’t pick up that I had changed my mind on my choice of drink. So I had to follow her over to the station to tell her of the adjustment. Also, twice she informed us that our table was due back. Perhaps 2 hour slots aren’t enough for a dinner reservation? Lunch certainly. But perhaps you should re-think evening slots when people tend to want to relax for longer.

    Great birthday fine dining for my son. A complimentary birthday dessert is a surprise! Love it!

    As the author of the site Roast Busters Uk we inform people of our experiences in numerous pubs/restaurants about our national dish. We were so looking forward to this,and because it was £29.50 for beef roast we thought that it must be elevated in some way to justify that price?disappointing doesn’t come close,was it the worst roast I’ve ever had,probably not,but,defo aunt Bessie potatoes and yorkies.we are very reluctant to say negative things to this degree because we know the hard work that normally goes into the catering/hospitality.To summarise,if I had to blind taste the Ivy roast,and a microwave roast from Icelands,it would have been a struggle

    The service and food was sensational! Staff was lovely and friendly and the bone in rib eye was the best I’ve had!
