    There was not much choice on the menu, the pictures and reviews online were fantastic which was why we book however it was missing the wow factor that we expected from such positive pictures and reviews. Just overall disappointment really. The food was ok but nothing special which was what we were after. Although the customer service from the lovely young lady 'Lorie' i believe was the ladies name. She seated us, took drinks orders promptly and checked everything was ok a several parts during the dinner. Maybe because it was between and Christmas and New Year the food service wasn't at it's best.

    My family and I had a lovely Christmas lunch at The Ivy House Restaurant. Even though we were early, this was not a problem. The food was delicious and served promptly. The staff were friendly and courteous. I would recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

    Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. We viewed the menu outside the night before and had made our choices. However when we looked at menu on the night the menu had changed which was a disappointment to us.

    We both had steak and a glass of red wine for supper. Both were delicious - the prime cut steak cooked to perfection and there is a thoughtfully chosen range of wines. Breakfast was equally good - a pleasing range of options. The staff are delightful and the service is second to none.

    This was our first visit to The Ivy House. We were impressed. The staff were excellent. Prompt and efficient. The food was well presented and very tasty. The helpings are generous but not too big. The menu is small but has good variety. Hopefully it is changed regularly to encourage return business. We will be returning.
