   Accidently booked for 2 instead of six, but they were extremely helpful and managed to squeeze all of us in. Excellent service food and ambiance. Best restaurant for value in Marlow

   Our food was all delicious but we were surprised at the increase in prices. We opted to go Main Menu and feel a Sirloin Steak priced at £28 should surely include chips or sauce. Nearly another £10 for both seems excessive. Normally the two course menu is adequate with additions but neither of us fancied any of the starters and mains were not very exciting. We love The Ivy and have never been disappointed before but feel we might have to check the menus before our next visit.

   The Ivy Marlow has been my go to Ivy for years, but my visit last night paled to it's usual experience. Everything was just slightly off and that makes a difference when you go expecting a consistently high service. Was not asked to have our jackets taken, despite them clearly being oversized winter wear. I had to request it. Seemed to under staffed and having to wait and flag down a waiter to get anything, from drinks, to food or other. First time bringing the kids, got them the sausage and mash. Expecting Ivy standard, smaller portions, especially for the price. Reality was low quality, over cooked sausage, that you could pick up at the kebab van outside. My rib eye stake was cooked correctly but fairly cold upon arrival already and the plate was cold. My wife's burger was over cooked, tough and harder to eat than usual. The squid starters and chicken skewers were on point though. Overall, it was okay but disappointing. Staff were all fine once you were speaking to them but will probably take a break from visiting to consider other options next time.

   While the food was good. The service or should I say the complete and utter lack there of was shocking! It was a so off hand with a couldn’t care less attitude. What should’ve been a really enjoyable lunch with good friends was, marred unnecessarily. I’d certainly not go back.

   The dinner experience was lovely as usual - the staff was helpful, the food was delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely, except this time we got seated in the covered area at the back. There was a cold draft on the feet and heater right above the head which made it the seats we specifically had less than desirable. Will be mindful to check where in the restaurant we’re getting a table next time, but yes, there will be a next time. .

    It was our 49th Wedding Anniversary: we were made to feel so special! Everything from the warm welcome, delicious food and wine was superb. We enjoyed a true celebration, and look forward to returning!
