Our waiter was terrible , rushed us for food orders before even taking drinks order. Waving a knife in front of us and dropping cutlery onto the table. Had to get our coats and belonging from the store room as no one about .

Food was excellent but need to order Syed dishes at extra cost. The service was outstanding. Tables for two were very close together.

I used to like going to Richmond Ivy but the place has changed a lot. It used to be a better place but now it has gone from good to bad. The prices has increased unbelievably. Just simple and basic Egg Benedict is now £20, which is too high I think for what you get. A burned and hard to chew bread with a lot of hollandaise sauce. The service wasn’t great either, had to ask for a tap water 3times until they brought it to our table and the quality of a cappuccino and cafe late was worst than the one you get in Starbucks. Good to know but I won’t be going back there now for a very long time.

We had a lovely lunch with food being nicely cooked, although some of the food was a bit overcooked. Children's menu was good and relatively healthy, which is nice to see in the redtaurants. The only big development point is to include more palatable wines in the menu by glass as our malbec was undrinkable, while we paid £14 per medium glass.

Service was slow and we were told there was no time to have desert! Not great when you’ve blown £600 on lunch!

We celebrated our anniversary in one of our most trusted and treasured restaurants in Richmond. Unfortunately the breakfast was less than satisfying with my sourdough bread slices being terribly rock solid. It was a struggle to cut with the knife given. One shouldn’t have to wish for a steak knife to cut a slice of bread. The poached eggs were cold as was the hollandaise sauce, having a cold film on-top of it indicating it perhaps sitting for longer than recommend once prepared. The salmon was only distributed to one of two slices of my toast. The green juice was refreshing. We hope for a better experience on our possible next visit as this place sits dear in our hearts. J

Together with a friend I had lunch at The Ivy Richmond on Thursday 6th February. Three things spoilt the occasion: 1. Both of us ordered prawn cocktail as a starter but it took nearly an hour for them to arrive. After enquiring why it was taking so long we were firstly told they were on their way and then twenty minutes later, after we enquired again, the reason given was there had been a mix up with the order. A wait of one hour for a cold dish!! 2. Sometime into the meal we started to feel rather cold. A request for the heating to be turned up resulted in us being told the heating was not on. The temperature was about 7 degrees outside. The heating was then turned on and after a while we felt a little warmer. 3. The prices do not justify the cost of the meal. Over £90 for two starters, two main courses - no dessert and no wine. i doubt we will be coming again.
