   I love the Ivy on Robertson. For over 35 years I have been coming to this restaurant and it never disappoints. Not going to lie, as we live 30 min away it a special occasion place- but family is always special occasion. We had so much fun today. Thank you Ivy! We will be back soon.

   Thanksgiving at The Ivy felt like Christmas, a feast for the eyes, complete with colorful Christmas lights throughout the patio and trees. This was our time here, wonder if they’re up year round or just seasonally, beautiful nevertheless. Having never been to a restaurant for Thanksgiving before, we wanted to avoid a buffet yet have have a traditional turkey dinner option on the menu. A $110 prix fixe included a choice of appetizer and entree, plus a trio of desserts. My son chose well, pumpkin ravioli in a sage butter sauce (he practically licked the plate) and branzino with shrimp, garlic and beans, very tasty. I started with two very nice crab cakes and since it was Thanksgiving, I had the turkey dinner. And from a scan of the restaurant, I was just about the only one. Am I the only one who wants turkey on Thanksgiving? I would rate their turkey dinner good but not great. The presentation left a lot to be desired as well, everything looked just plopped on the plate. The slices of both light and dark meat were OK, I did dip them in the small cup of tasty jus (not gravy) that they served along side, which vastly improved the flavor, should have asked for more. I liked the pumpkin puree, Brussels sprouts, and small cup of cranberry sauce too. The French bread dressing, however, was odd, as it was swimming in liquid, maybe turkey broth? The dessert trio saved the day, the apple berry crumble with vanilla gelato was delicious, it had the most amazing crust, wondering if brown sugar was the secret ingredient. That would have been enough for me, but it was nice to have a bite of pecan bar and ginger cookie too.

   Great Atmosphere - got my favorite 3-top table in the corner under the tree! The food is always solid, the service & friendliness of the staff is unmatched, casual and super professional at the same time. I really dig this place. The ambiance is phenomenal!
