   This was our first time dining at The James, and it certainly won’t be the last!! We were seated upstairs in a private room. The ambiance is elegant, the staff was very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, as well as the cocktails!! We had a wonderful time, and can’t wait to return!!

   Experience was lovely, Gina our server was incredibly accommodating and kind. Excellent in her role. The food was mediocre which made it feel very overpriced. Probably won’t be back there, miss the carriage house

   Outstanding across the board. Best Crab Cake I’ve ever had. The 24oz Ribeye was unbelievable! So good. Our waiter Mike was so nice. Knew about the menu and was great with recommendations. Very personable and attentive. We were even given two free glasses of champagne and a card for our anniversary which was really nice of them. We paid anbout $260 for our dinner Ann’s it was worth every penny Overall outstanding experience. Will be back for sure.

   The venue is beautiful…it has a great Gatsby feel. Pricing is typical of a steak house, so a bit costly. Overall, a lovely experience for a special occasion.

   It's a nice place, been there twice now but I dont think I need a third. They have too many rules and "company policies" for instance, you have to check your coat, and they are not allowed to have them on the back of the chairs. Yet when we went up to our table there were plenty of tables with their coats on the back of the chairs. If you have left overs and want to take them home they keep them on the floor in the coat closet as well and give you a number to pick it up.

   Went for Valentine’s Day dinner with my boyfriend. The ambience was amazing, we could not stop looking at the decor. My boyfriend loved his baked calms and skirt steak. I really enjoyed my oysters and Icelandic cod. Our cocktails were good, but I think I want to try a wine next time. We also got the cheesecake, which was very good. The staff was great! They coat check your coats and your leftover food, it made the dinner easy and gave a wonderful look to the whole place. Plus, they gave every women a rose for the holiday. Very thoughtful and sweet touch. A little pricey, but overall worth for a nice dinner out.

   Reserved a table for 4 on Valentine’s Day. Arrived early and got a drink at the bar. Standing room only, but that was to be expected. The bar service was rather slow. We got seated ahead of our reservation time, which was great, but they wanted to sit the 4 of us at a large 6 top. This might haven been acceptable had the music not been so loud. We wouldn’t have been able to have a conversation at such a large table. There was an open 4-top that we requested to sit at instead and were initially informed that they were saving the 4-tops for couples since it was Valentine’s Day. We accepted to sit at the 6-top, having no other choice and once seated a manager came over and moved us to the more appropriate 4-top. From there on the meal was good other than the music being too loud in our opinion. Service was good other than waiting on the bar for drinks. Food was good, as expected for a restaurant at this price point.

    Food was amazing, staff was wonderful and considering it was Valentine’s Day we never felt rushed or like the service was lacking in anyway.
