The Kitchen Bistro is super trendy on the inside and is beautifully located next to the river. The staff was amazing, our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The only knock I have is that the portions are ridiculously small. My daughter and I had the Rigatoni, I am pretty sure there were 10 noodles in my bowl. I spent $258.00 for a dinner for 3 and left hungry. Granted, we had a bottle of wine. We loved the atmosphere the portion size the the only bummer.

Nice place but the menu was poor, the portions were very small and the food was just ok. We feel like we waisted one dinner out in Chicago 😣

We typically go to The Kitchen for brunch, but decided to try dinner with some friends. The food tasted great… but the menu was confusing as to what was small plate and what was a traditional entree.

The food and cocktails were excellent, and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. The tapas-style small plate approach allowed us to the chance to try several different vegetables, pastas and proteins, and everything was excellent.

Cocktails are on the pricier side but well made. Staff was knowledgeable and made a great suggestion on the wine pairings. Unexpected flavors were deliciously satisfyingly. Great family-style dining for groups.

We really liked this restaurant. The food was very good. Service was super slow. The slow service and lack of attention to the table is why we rated service poor. Maybe it was a new server, or an off day for her.
